I have some friends coming to Fort Worth for a "girl shopping weekend". I have only lived here a few months and have not had the time to do much shopping. Where would you recommend we go? We will have two days. We would like to do some early Christmas shopping. We all have young children and look forward to some "girl time". Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Southlake Town Center is a great place for girls to go shopping. Also the Grapevine Mills mall. Hope this helps!
The "square" in Granbury has a lot of novelty type shops, and some little lunch places that makes for a perfect girls day out. It's just an old town square that is still thriving.
I also like Grapevine Mills, and if you go there, you need to make a little side trip over to Gaylord Texan. That is like a little taste of ALL of Texas. That my be a good place to stop for lunch or to go get a mani/pedi to relax your feet from all that shopping. Have fun with your friends.
I LOVE Southlake Town Square. Great shops and boutiques and lots of great places to eat outside on the patio!
Go to Grapevine Mills Mall. It is so big and fun to just look at everything as well as shop. Have a great time.
Hi! Southlake Town Center is always a fun option. There are a ton of fun shops, plus the new area has a lot of fun restaurants, not to mention the cheesecake factory! I like to meet up with a friend to get a pedicure at Coldwater Creek Spa, then have a 2.50 happy hour margarita at Snuffer's, then we usually get a piece of cheesecake to take home. Hope this helps!

On your way to Southlake Town Square, don't forget to hit Main Street in Downtown Grapevine. I absolutely love it there. They have a lot of unique boutiques and a lot of great Texas merchandise. It's a great blend of style. Plus, you can hit one of the winery's afterwards.
Northeast Mall in Hurst is a great mall. It is in Hurst.
But I would also recommend The Shops at Willowbend in Plano for one day.
The shops at Willowbend do this "out of town" passport thing where you can get special offers and discounts because you are from out of town. http://www.shopwillowbend.com/infodesk/visitors/124.html.
You can also try Southlake Town Square. ALthough, those are more expensive shops...

The Vineyard's Antique mall in Colleyville. They have EVERYTHING in there. New and used- clothes, furniture, jewerly, decor and gifts and novelties. And a great Tea Room.

Oh, what a fun question. Well I agree with the poster who recommended South Lake Town Square-great shopping and food too. Depending on when they come you may be able to go to Canton . That will really give them the unique and charming Texas experience. If you want to go farther still, and don't mind spending the night away you could go to the outlets in San Marcos. The Pottery Barn outlet there offers the best deals. I just love it. It is about a 4 or 5 hour drive though.
I'm sure you will have a great time no matter where you go-and there certainly are plenty of places to go . It's so fun to visit with friends.

Go to Southlake Town square... it's a lot of fun, great eateries... lots of little shops to go through and it's a LOT of stores in one small area
Easy. Go to Sam Moons off Harry Hines. If it is a week end before the 1st of the month Canton is wonderful.
Huge Antique Malls everywhere and some have wonderful tea rooms. One off 377 near the skating rink between Western Center and the freeway. Arborteum or Aquarium down town off Griffin Street keep left. The Kennedy thing also down there a couple blocks away. A tour of Stockyards is wonderful and they also told us about Billy Bobs. Gainesville up North near Oklahoma or Hillsboro South of Ft Worth. Galleria in Dallas they also have ice skating. Take them to Farmers Market where they have food and flowers. That is fun and you also get to taste the food. Get ideas from local Hotels or Motels in the lobbies. They have tons of stuff. Wine tasting could be at Delanies Vinyerd in Grapevine but I have never done it. Also in the Stockyards where is a wine shop where you can taste it. Dave and Busters is a nice place to eat of Pappadouex( Spell)
Ripleys Believe it of Not near 6 Flags. Or eat at Babes off 377 or my friend's son owns Prairie House. Each booth is different. Lots of old junk to look at and very much a feel of Texas. Also if you do quilting or sewing there are a couple of shops on Harry Hines that are huge warehouses of stuff. Best is one and one down the street. I think Dor something but really neat. Tons os stuff. South Fork where they filmed Dallas you can probably arrange a tour. I joined a New Comers out of Lewisville and loved it. They took us to so many places and that was how I learned my way around. Good luck. G. W
