Hi Mama's
I am needing ideas for a gift for my husband's god daughter's 1st birthday. Maybe a certain book? We usually just send $ for his other god daughter's bday, but I have always wanted to do something more meaningful... Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
The Baby's first bible was my suggestion, too. My sister in law gave both my dgtrs a version, one was more a picture book and the other focused on bible stories. For their baptism, she gave them guardian angels nightlights, they are very beautiful and although we no longer use them as nightlights, the angels are nestled safely among other momentos in their room keeping a watchful eye over them :)
Halmark makes recordable books that you can record yourself reading & the child/parent can play it back. My daughter's grandparents that live out of state gave us the night before christmas for her christmas present and it was so nice for her to be able to hear their voice!
What is your price range?
A cozy coupe! It will be a hit for YEARS! And they last forever. Our 5 year old still uses hers! All kids love them. Our son was sitting in it and "driving" the wheel by about 8 months and loved it.
Does she already have her "first bible" ? A Christen book store will have picture bibles for little ones with short bible stories. If your looking for something that doesn't have to be religious, then a savings bond is a good idea. The parents can put it aside. It may not get a huge reaction now, but when the God child is 10 or 13 it will, especially if you send one every year!!
