So I was thinking about all the post I have seen with what to give, how much to spend, who to give to..and I wondered. Do people who don't celebrate Christmas still give these gifts at this time of year or no because it is not their holiday? Do you then give a gift at the end of Chanukkah? or other holiday you celebrate?? Just wondering!!

What can I do next?

I give gifts to my family, not strangers who work at a job and do a community service. It is a career they chose, they get a paycheck to do this, they don't do it out of kindness.

I think if people have this much extra money at Christmas they should make sizable contributions to charities that give gifts to needy people.

if you have been receiving a service you can tip anytime you deem appropriate with a thank you card as they are getting a bonus. You need not concern yourself with their religion or yours.

Great question-I am not Jewish, but I worked at a Jewish school for many years and I always received very generous gifts around the holidays from people who did not celebrate Christmas. We always tip teachers, mailmen, etc., because, while they certainly did choose these careers, they are performing a service from which we benefit. A small tip from us once a year hardly seems excessive given that all of these are tough jobs. My kid's teacher has to be with him all day every day-that's hard!! Mailmen and garbagemen often have to work in sub zero temperatures, and, while they shouldn't expect a tip, it's nice to think of them. It's also important to teach your children to appreciate those around them, particularly those who do jobs which benefit them. Happy Holidays!!
