A DVD/Video Clip of your daughter saying what she likes about the daycare provider and a big thank you for taking care of her would be really sweet and personal.
When the school year ends, my four year old will no longer be going to the in-home daycare provider who's cared for her since she was two and I'm trying to come up with a really special gift for this woman who's been like a second mom to her. I'm also looking for a nice end-of-the-year gift for her preschool teacher...any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

C.-Saying good bye is hard. I have been teaching prek for 12 years and here are a few ideas....
throw a small lunchon for the teacher, bake a specail pie with your child, a picture photo mug (picture of your child holding a sign that says "love you"/"you're the best", etc..
a throw pillow with your child's hand print, a keychain with some gift cards attached, a photo of the class in a frame, name a star after her...anyhting you do that recognizes her hard work and dedication will be greatly appreciated.
best wishes-H.
Hi
My kids are going to paint some flower pots for their teachers this year. We did it for Mother's Day gifts for my mom and mom-in-law and they were a huge hit! It's something they can have forever. You can write a personal message and the year on the bottom.
I worked for a daycare in high school and some of my favorite gifts i got from parents were candles, gift cards and Bath &Body works stuff. But if you want to get something a little more personal you could always get a nice blanket that matches her living room or bed room. Then she will think of you guys every time she curls up in it.
