I am so glad you liked the ring. I knew it would grow on you. You are married with a romantic husband. Lucky girl.

Hi,

Not quite clear on your explanation. Are you legally married, but not married in a church? Are you common law? If you are common law, then yes, now I would say you were engaged.

Congratulations!

Wait, you are married by a court of law? Then you are already legally married, so no you are not engaged. What this would be is redoing your vows, you can do a little ceremony in a church if you want, though it's not technically a marriage ceremony. I know few couples who did this for anniversaries, like the 10 year or something, like a vow exchange and a little ring ceremony again.

I am assuming that you are legally married, but now want to make it official at your church?

If such is the case, the term "engagement" does not apply since it is a secular concept anyways. I don't know any religious practice that formally recognizes a unique period between single and married.

To that end, enjoy your upcoming nuptials and congratulations!

If you were married and have a marriage license, you are married.
Then if so, you would be renewing your vows.

How sweet! I would just say that you are "re-engaged" or just say your renewing.

You are still married. My ex and I eloped and then has a convalidation in the Catholic church. I assume that is kinda what you are doing.

In retrospect I wish I hadn't but that has nothing to do with you. Congrats and have fun. Oh, don't let your mom take over, no good comes from that. :p

I figured that your opinion of that ring would change after you slept on it. What a cute story. Actually, you arent engaged, but you can probably pretend like you are if you want to. Tell him no more sex until your new wedding night, that should speed up that process, ahahahhahha!
Congrats.

Court is legal, so you are legally married. Now you are about to do it the romantic way. J.
