I had my gallbladder removed 4-5 years ago due to stones. Luckily I only went through 2 attacks and had the gallbladder removed within 2 weeks. It is very painful and there is nothing you can do for the pain. Hopefully they will remove it for you.

I also have a cousin that had continuous problems with her gallbladder with her first pregnancy. They wouldn't do the surgery for her so she had to just get by with it. As soon as she had the baby the gallbladder problems were gone.

Good luck!

hello,

i didnt even kno i had gall stones until i went to for a check up earlier this year. they are medium is size and could to pop at any moment, dr wants me have them taken out, but i prefer alternatives which makes him so mad, lol.

what helps me is knowing the food that triggers that the bloaty pain on ur side. mine so far is fritos, breaskfast shakes and geasy foods. i was told from an on-line local dr that, beets are good to reduce the stones if not too hardened yet. there is beet teas, too. i like beets but i keep forgetting to buy the canned ones.

I got gallstones at the end of my last pregnant - and yes, talk about the pain with a gall bladder attack. For me, it was worse than labor. I ended up having my gallbladder removed about 2 weeks after giving birth, and I've been pain free ever since.

Yep. Been there and done that. I had many painful attacks. My gall bladder was removed the day before my son's first birthday. No more attacks! I've had to make some changes in my diet since the surgery, though.

I had gallstones the 3rd trimester. They went away after the baby was born. I was in my late 30's about 10lbs over weight and I didn't think I ate a lot of fat. They also said pregnancy had a lot to do with it, hormones. I feel for you that hurts like crazy. You have to watch what you eat to see what gives you pain. It didn't have to be something with much fat that gave me pain. I remember not wanting to eat, but had to for the baby. I drank a lot of protein drinks. I am so sorry you have to go through this.
