my mother had hers out and I know she takes a powder medicine to help her out with the bathroom issues.
hi moms! I had my gallbladder removed back in 2001 and since then I have had stomach problems, lots of cramping and because the digestion is off, pretty much almost everytime I eat have to run to the bathroom. anyone else that has had their gallbladder out and is having such issues could you pass along what you have learned could help it?

How is your fiber intake? When I had mine removed that was the problem and adding fiber made a big difference. Talk to your doctor also there may be more going on that needs looking into. Check with your gynocologist too-just to be on the safe side.
I think fiber would be helpful. At least it is for me.
same here. my triggers are fats, sugars, and lettuce.
I just have to plan my day and meals. If I know I"m going to be out and about all day, I eat crackers, turkey sandwhiches, etc.
idk if you are eating fatty foods but that will go straight through you because you cannot regulate the bile to digest it. I was told no dairy, spicy, or fatty foods. I never listened and have never had any trouble but I know people that do have a horrible time.
Ugh! I am the same exact way! Haven't heard or found anything to make it better so I am excited to read the responses you get...
Oh, so sorry. I know at least 3 people who have had similar problems after having their gallbladder removed. The Dr. finally gave my Mom something that helped (after many years of "running to the bathroom"). It had something to do with the bile.. not sure what the medication was but I can find out if you need to know.
