You DO have a job!!!
I love that you have GREAT stories!! Your kids are going to have wonderful childhood memories!!!
YOU GO GIRL!!!
Just remember to take care of you - remember you still need a girls night out!!
So, I'm a stay at home mom. I have four girls: ages 7, 6 (almost) 4 and 2. I have a crazy story to tell my mom about what's going on with our life just about every day.
Well recently, the theme of my stories is myself getting hurt. I admit- I don't take the best care of myself and I am constantly multitasking, so in this whirlwind of events I call my life, things are bound to go awry. Let me just say though- I love my life and I became a stay at home mom because I really wouldn't want it any other way:)
Today, after telling my mom that I have a huge bump on my brow where I ran into my 6 year old's head while playing thumb wrestling with my husband (I was cheating, massively, in the thumb wrestle challenge and it was my carelessness and goofiness that caused the "collision")... my mom said, "Why don't you get a job so you can have a break?"
Don't know if you Moms will get the same amusement as I have after hearing her say that, but I thought that her saying that was incredibly funny. How ironic of a statement. My mom continued to say that she goes into her own work (at this particular place, she comes and goes) when she wants to "wind-down".
Now, I know that you all have a story like this to share. Just something funny that you or someone has said about your "crazy" or maybe, not-so-crazy parenting life. Anyone have a story like this? Thanks in advance:)

My co-workers sometimes think I should stay home when I'm under-the-weather, but I point out to them that I get more physical rest at work than I do at home with a 4 year old and 2 1/2 year old boys. My husband works evenings so if I'm home sick the kids think its a holiday to play with M.. Raising kids IS exhausting. =)
Sorry I don't have a funny story but I certainly wouldn't consider going to work to 'wind down'! That is where I get all riled up. I go home to wind down :)
Apparently your mom thinks thumb wrestling is not using your "full potential" hahahahhaha!
I have 3 kiddos i'm a sahm too,I have been told to get up & do something really what is it that I need to do that isn't already done??Well they mean get a Hobby for myself take sometime off just for me well that is a good one if you want me to completely withdrawl the bank account because what I want to do will cost money & hire a babysitter i'll need lot's of time to myself with NO distractions..
I wouldn't give up being a sahm it is challenging but the best life I have for myself & children...
My girls are grown now, but my mom watched them for me when they were small and I worked. My oldest was a particular challenge, as she had ODD. When my mom would arrive in the morning, she would see me off with, "Go to work and rest now." It was funny, but very true in some ways. I would have loved to be a SAHM, but in reality, it was probably best that my oldest and I got a break from each other a few days a week!
