If your baby sneezes while changing their diaper... TAKE COVER!
Babies are a great cover for your own gas!
There really is no such thing as spontaneous sex with a baby around.
:)
I am still in the need for some extra FUN advice for a new mom to be "fun advice" book that i am putting together for a freind. Thank you all who responded with some serious and good advice the first time around.. I am just still looking for some fun/silly advice that we all wish we would have known for the begining (dogs eat dirty diapers and such)

Anjanette made me think of one when she mentioned her dog.
Cats, too, like to eat spit up off the floor. We had a happy spitter, and fortunately our carpet isn't totally ruined because the two fat cats were right there, waiting for their occasional snack of sweet potatoes, formula, or pears.
Gross but funny.
Oh also...the most random things make great toys. The $30 'I'm-going-to-turn-my-baby-into-a-genius' thingamajig is usually shunned for an empty gatorade bottle that has been filled with macaroni and can be shaken. Heck, sometimes even an empty cereal box or wads of tissue paper (supervised, of course) are more fun that the noisy, flashy, beepy things.
One more - if your baby takes breastmilk, its totally possible that you will hear their farts in the next room. We called our son 'Captain Thunderpants' for the first two months. He farted like a frat boy!
We have found it benificial to wait about 5 minutes after we hear our dd poop. We learned this pretty quickly after having to turn right back around and change her diaper, again, after getting half way across the room in the fresh diaper and hearing her poop again. Or even better...being in the middle of a diaper change and nearly getting hosed. I don't think I have EVER seen such fast reflexes from either myself or dh.
It's not just boys that can imitate Old Faithful.
Dogs like to lick spit-up off clothes. Even if it's dry.
Well if the baby is a boy, when changing him put a wipe or cloth over his pee pee so you don't get sprayed!
Listen to your mom and older generations, they are often smarter then the doctors and books!!
Don't put your baby to bed with a bottle, that creates a bad habit and can later down the road be bad for the childs teeth
Also if it's a boy when changing the diaper point his pee pee down because if it's pointed up he'll pee out of his diaper resulting in not only a diaper change but a clothing change as well.
Dreft mixed with water in a spray bottle works just as good as an expensive stain remover.
When packing babies "special outfits" away for the future be sure it is throughly stain free because over the years of sitting those formula stains you thought were gone resurface outta know where (been there done that!)
This sounds like a neat idea you're making hope you come up with some good answers!!
One afternoon, while at home with my adorable 18 month old son, we discovered he likes playing in the toilet water. He came out of the bathroom with his sleeve wet and a grin to match! Upon walking in to the bathroom, I saw MY toothbrush laying next to the toilet. Needless to say that one went in the trash! In other words, make sure the toilet seat is down and latched, if possible!!!
Ice Cubes! For the little ones, one or two ice cubes on a high chair tray give busy moms a few extra minutes to prepare a meal. Preschoolers who are given ice cubes and a little salt can make "ice sculptures" galore. Freezing in different colors adds a science twist as the melting colors begin to intertwine and change. Great Fun any temp!
