Fullness and Discomfort in Pelvic Area with Ovulation?

I occasionally get a his sense of "fullness and discomfort" in my lower pelvis. I haven't quite noticed a pattern as it related to my monthly cycle, mostly because I have been pregnant or breastfeeding for about 9 of last 14 years. I HAVE noticed that both last month, and now this month, the feeling is pretty intense, and I would likely be around my ovulation time right now. I notice it when I sit down, and find myself sitting gingerly so as to not cause a jolt of discomfort "up in there". It feels like it could be my bladder, my uterus, or anything in that general area, but it is a vague fullness. It only lasts a day or 2. I feel bloated, but don't necessarily look bloated.
Any ideas? No, I haven't seen my OB yet, although its looking like I might need to make an appt.
Thanks ladies! Hoping someone can shed some light; I've scoured the internet and have some hits, but would like some real life anecdotal stuff.

What can I do next?

I get this. I'm 46 now and have had uterine fibroids for a while. When I ovulate I get the bloating and bad cramps either on my left or right lower pelvis for about 12 hours. Sometimes they are bad enough that I have to take time out and just sit. I'm at the age where I'm having fun menstrual and ovulation issues, so personally I can't wait for menopause! I don't know how old you are, but I would let the OB know about it at your next appointment, or sooner if it gets worse. Most likely is just one of the fun and exciting things we women get to go through!

cycles change throughout our lives, you don't mention how old you are... so it's hard to say if it's related to perimenopause, etc etc.. that said, when you ovulate (assuming you do) as menstruation alone isn't completely indicative of ovulation, but let's assume you do, sometimes with that surge of Progesterone, yes it can cause you to become very bloated.. not to mention, the rise in Progesterone can also contribute to the slowing down of your bowels (it does this) in the event you were to become pregnant, so that your body could more readily absorb vitamins and minerals... however, it could also lead to constipation which leads to bloating..
additionally, fibroids will call contribute to bloating and more painful ovulation and menses, not to mention.... longer and more painful periods..

it is worth going to your ob to have it checked out..

Sounds totally normal to me. Ovulation was always very painful for me. Trouble sitting, standing, etc... Severe cramps. Far worse than anyting with actual menstruation!
Mine was actually so bad that I went BACK ON the pill this last year (at 36) to stop it. I couldn't take it anymore.

Sounds like normal ovulation pain to me as another poster suggested. I had it for years and it was so uncomfortable some times that it hurt to walk. Ibuprofen helps.

I have this pain when I ovulate and have since I was in college. It's called
Mittelschmerz and is a normal sign that you are dropping an egg.
