We have the mohawk brand of frizae....We LOVE it! We have had it over a year and it looks perfect even in high traffic areas and on the stairs.
Hi! We are putting new carpet in a house we bought and I really like the frizease/ twist type carpet. I was wondering if anyone has this type of carpet throughout their house, on the stairs etc. and if you like it. Thanks!

we have it in our basement which we use as a toy room. We love it. Nice and soft and rebounds easily if something is left on it for a while, leaving no mark on the carpet.
good luck..
love it love love it! We have it in several rooms and stairs as well. it has lasted 9 years so far and still looks brand new!

We have it in the hallways and playroom and we love it. The best thing to make sure of is to get a good padding to go underneath. The thick padding makes all the difference imo.
We have a friseaz from Luna. It is very matted down in the hall and in the doorways. I don't know if it is the quality of the brand-Mowhark-or if all friseazs are this way. I wish we would have gotten a plush.
(And FYI Luna has horrible customer service and even offended one of my family members during a phone call concerning delivery time!)
We have it in the rooms we didn't tile, the bedrooms. I love it. As with any carpet, be sure to spend the extra money for quality padding.. it will make all the difference in how it feels to walk on it.
We got this style from Empire Carpet. Our hallway and spots in our family room show significant wear pattern, although I will be the first to admit that I don't vacuum as often as I should. I loved the initial look of it, but it hasn't held up that great for us. My neighbors have some several years old that looks fabulous, however, even on their stairs.
We have it on our stars and upstairs bedroom. It was not my choice it was here when we moved in, and while it looks okay, I don't love it. Especially with my long hair (always shedding) kids and cats. I had a high end Oreck vacuum that it killed, and everything gets stuck in it and it needs to be vacuumed often. My stairs always look "hairy" because, well stairs are a pain in the butt to vacuum so I never vacuum it enough. So why it doesn't seem "worn" as much as the regular carpets (which are about as old) I just think the maintenance is too much.
Loved it ... We had a townhouse that had the living are on the 2nd level with the entrance/ garage at ground level, we put this type of carpet on the stairs because they were high traffic .. the way in and out. It held up beautifully, did not show the dirt like plush did, a quick vaccum and looked great again. We ultimately carpeted the entire place with Friese.
Cara,
I LOVE frieze carpet! We put it throughout our house and it's so soft and durable. We had to move shortly after, and now have berber. I hate it! I wish I could afford to re-carpet this house in the frieze we had in the other one!!
Hope that helps,
L.

I do like this type of carpet because it shows less stains and less wear and tear on it. Especially with children! We had this carpet throught the whole house expect the kitchen and 2 bathrooms! It cleans up well, unless u pick a white color you shouldnt have a problem. The color we had was a tanish color and we just loved it. And when I buy another house again I will have this put into my house. Having a 10 and 8 year old tracking everything in and out you can't beat it...Good Luck
We have it on our stairs. Personally, I think it is ugly and is a modern version of shag carpet, but after two years, it still looks brand new. I highly recommend it for high traffic areas.
Yes, we have had it for 9 months and LOVE it! We had the old fashioned cut loop throughout previously. If you have kids, especially young ones, I would suggest the carpet that we got at Menards (they also sell it at Home Depot). It is fairly new, was pretty much brand new a year ago, and is made with the stain blocking in the fibers. You can wash out any stain so far with just soap and water...even when it's been there for a long time. It's fantastic. We waited for a great sale and got it for about $2.35 a sq ft and then got the best pad which is a yellow foam. Everyone that comes over loves our carpet and how great it feels.

I had the frizae (sp?) installed in my living room, dining room, stairs and upstairs hallway in 2002. Love it - is always looks new when I vacuum - it cleans up so well - wears so well - I highly recommend it. Make sure you purchase the best quality pad for your carpet. If you need a carpet company - I recommend Jeff Naatz with Manas Torcem/ Touch of Beauty. He will bring samples to your home or you can visit their store in Park Ridge. Do not go with Luna or Empire - you'll be sorry. Jeff's number is ###-###-####. He is very competitve in pricing and very knowledgable on carpet - he will ask you many questions to make sure he is selling you the right carpet for the room and length of time you want the carpet to last.
