I had trouble changing mine too, we ended up having to wait until he was 6 months old for his stomach to be able to handle powder formulas.

no it doesn't matter. When mine were little I used them all; concentrate, powder and ready to feed.

Every baby is different, some babies are very sensitive to things like that. But, typically, your baby should have no problen switching from liquid to powder. Just make sure you mix the powder well so there are no lumps left to block the nipple. I found that Similac and Enfamil were the best as far as not clumping too much. Also, if you have any of the plastic 1 qt. bottles from the Similac ready to feed, you can wash it out, or run thru the dishwasher if you have one, and mix formula in there (so much easier than making each individual bottle). If you re-use the Similac bottle, make sure it is completely dried b4 you scoop the formula into it. For each 1 qt bottle, you can use as many as 12 scoops of formula and 3- 8oz bottles of water, shake well and pour.
Good luck. I hope this helped at least a little.

Both of my kids did better on the powder. When we tried to give them the ready made stuff most of it came back up. When I tasted a little I found out that there was a difference in taste. I ended up sticking with the powder.

My son had no trouble at all switching from the ready to feed to the powder. The color of the powder formula is much lighter but he didn't seem to mind the taste at all. I would make sure that you measure the water before you add the powder so that you get the right concentration. Good luck.

J.,
First of all congrates on your little boy. I have a 7 year old son. You son should not have a problem. Do not change all at once. Give a bottle w/ the powder every third bottle to start then the next day every 2 bottles and decress from there. I say this because sometimes changing formula can upset the baby's stomach. Some children have no problems changing all at once. I guess I am just a little more cautious. I look at things this way when it comes to food and diet for little ones, "How do I think my tummy would feel if my food was changed?"
Hope this helps.
J.
