Ford Fusion Owners

I have a 5 y/o and almost 2 y/o who are both in car seats with 5 point harness restraints (and for safety I will keep them in this type of seat until they outgrow the wt. limits). Does anyone drive a ford fusion with two carseats in the back and if so is it spacious enough? I currently have a mini-van but I honestly don't need that big of a vehicle - I can't see well when backing up and it gets poor gas milelage. I do not want an SUV - had one previously and I want something that doesn't drain me with gas payments. I realize a sedan will not allow for space for friends, but honestly, at this age I am not driving any other kids around plus I can't really see driving a certain style of car just so someday I might be able to haul a friend with us (besides, by that time we won't have these big car seats and I will be able to take another 1 or 2 kids. Any fusion owners have feedback? They seem to have low maintenance, good safety records, and great gas milelage. Thanks for the advice

Yes, I have a Fusion and I fit 2 5-point harness car seats in with no problem at all for about 2 years.

Now that one of mine is a little older and is in a booster, I've found I can even bring a friend for my 7 year old, because I can fit one 5-point harness car seat for my 3 year old PLUS two boosters seats into the back, everyone seatbelted properly. It's tight, but they will fit!

I really like my Fusion.

My kids are too big/old to need car seats, but I do have a Fusion and I love it. I have ridden in the back and I do think you would have enough room.

The best car I ever had was a Ford Fusion. I really miss it! It was mine when we decided we needed a minivan. So my husband took the Ford and then totaled it. :(
At the time, we had only one baby, but it would have been easy to put a second car seat in (but we travel a lot and needed more luggage space). The dimensions may have changed since then, but I would get a fusion again in a heartbeat.

We love our Ford Fusion!!! We have had it since 2008 and we were able to fit two 5 point harness restraints PLUS a infant carrier in the middle. The Fusion is one of the best cars we have ever owned. It has almost 95,000 miles and has not ever been to the shop for anything besides regular oil changes. We have driven it on several trips and it rides nice and the gas mileage is amazing! We fill up and have about 435 miles to empty, and on the highway on long trips we have gotten 25 miles to the gallon. I love how the car system gives you all this detail! I would definitely recommend this car!!!

I can't answer for the car seat issues but my mom had a Fusion and swears by it. They love it.

I'm not a Ford lover and wouldn't have one but my mom and step dad love the Fusion . Plus they drive a lot .
