Also normal for... BOYS.

The glandular tissues swell and recede in response to hormones.

It's just part of normal development, UNLESS you're talking actual breasts. If we're talking B cups, go see a doctor.

ALL babies, boys and girls, have 'boobs' due to your hormones still working their way out of babies body. Totally normal. Then they have boobs because they're fat little chunkamunks... again, totally normal. Once they hit around 3-4, it goes away! TOTALLY NORMAL :)

Totally normal. She still has your hormones in her which is making them swell a little as they leave her. They will go down. I have 2 girls, both had it and that is what the nurse explained to me.

Yes, it is normal, don't freak out! It happened to both of my boys as well, it is not just a girl thing. It happens to newborns because of extra hormones from you that are still in her little system. They will go away in a few weeks, no harm done. Your pediatrician will probably check just to make sure it goes away, but totally normal.

Yup it happened to my daughter too and it freaked me out too! :) No worries though because it's normal and it's all about hormones. They will go away, thank goodness, because it's way too soon to be worrying about our daughter's and their boobs!

I think it's normal although I have boys. Newborn baby boys have HUGE testicles and I was told it was because of hormones in their system.

mine had those the whole time I nursed her! At least for the first year. they go away when they stop being exposed to your hormones.

Yes, two girls, both had them. It will come and go for a little bit and then they will go back to "normal". No worries. If you are still concerned go ahead and mention it to your ped when you see her.

my one girl has boobs for a month, my other had a mini period for a week after she was born! high estrogen I guess.

Could be hormones yes, my daughter had a marble like bump and it was a cyst that just went away on its own. Relax, sounds normal!

My daughter is 19 months and she had something like that when she was a few months old. I was nursing her and I read something that has a connection with hormones or something I think. It went away eventually.

It's completely normal. I promise you. Your hormones are still coursing through her system from your pregnancy, so sometimes babies will have small "breasts" until those hormones dissipate. I should also mention that you shouldn't be alarmed if you happen to notice small drops of blood in her diaper because that can be from your adult female hormones too... like a teeny tiny menstrual cycle but not quite.

It's nothing to be alarmed about. Sometimes the "baby breasts" may even produce a tiny bit of milk.

It will/should go away but it's going to take a little time. She's only two weeks old so it's still early and in the normal range for this sort of thing.

RELAX!!! Totally normal! I have 3 girls ages 11, 6 and 3. They all had that. If your breast feeding it is almost a given because they are getting hormones from you that is now changing your body again and some of it passes to the baby. Do ask your doctor for your own peace of mind but don't freak either. My girls went through it to and it will go away eventially. (sorry can't remember when it went away it just did)
