Floating Candles in a Water Bowl

I used a water bowl for my christmas decorations last year. It was beautiful initially but in the end the water had all the wax from the candles. Is that how it works for you too? I had a big lump of wax in my water bowl after all the floating candles melted.

This year I want to have a water bowl again because the floating candles look so beautiful in it. But wondering if there is anything I could do to prevent the wax from meting into the water. Do you recommend any floating candles that doesn't cause this issue. I got the plain white ones(from Ikea if I remember correctly). Any ideas where to buy these candles , tips to use them in water are all appreciated :)

Thanks for all the advice in advance!

I've never had this problem. Not sure what brands I've used but I know some were from the Yankee Candle Company. I've bought some up in Amish Country here in Ohio but they were probably soy candles.

Good luck!!

Hi!
I bought floating candles last year from a company on the internet. It's called Quick Candles.

When they're done burning, they leave a floating shell shaped like the bottom and part of the sides of the candle--not a blob of wax.

I bought several colors, but I prefer the white ones. The colored candles don't seem to burn down as much, and if I remember from last winter, the color is only on the outside. The colored candles don't turn into blobs either, but you end up with a white interior and colored shell.

Hope you end up with something you enjoy!

There are battery-operated, waterproof candles with little flickering LED lights.

I believe PartyLite candles have wax that evaporates and doesn't "melt". Contact a local rep in your area and she will be able to tell you. Good luck!
