Five Mo Post Birth/no Sex

When I had my second daughter, I had a second degree tear, was cut in two places. We have had sex once, honest. Before she was conceived and born, it was maybe once or twice a week. My ever faithful, suppportive husband has been extremely patient too. Here's the thing, every time I wipe, or clean down there, it stings, right in the opening. So, sex is just too painful. I would love some input from anyone that has dealt with this.

What can I do next?

Sometimes the skin doesn't heal properly and creates a very painful raised area called granular tissue. Super sensitive. They can cauterize it in a few seconds and bring instant relief. If that's what you are dealing with, it can be fixed quickly. If not, they can advise other options.

Definitely get it checked by your health care provider. Getting it healed up is important for your quality of life.

If you feel like you're ready to give it a try, make sure you inebriate and lubricate. A bottle of nice wine and a bottle of Astroglide can make all the difference in the world!

Please, go see your doctor. They should check and make sure there isn't something going on 'down there'. Sometimes, too, when we heal, polyps can form and cause pain. A doctor can cauterize those and the area can then heal properly.

So sorry you are having to deal with this, but your GYN would want you to come in... so make an appointment right away.

Have you gone back to the doctor? Maybe a visit to your OB/Gyn is in order... they can check and see if there is a place that is irritated.

You need to go see your OB/GYN, A..

It should NOT hurt still. So please. Make an appointment with your OB/GYN and if he/she says - nothing there - then you go to someone else. MAKE the doctor listen to you.

Sex should NOT be painful. If you feel like he's hitting a wall - you might have an infection. But the stinging and pain? Shouldn't be there. PLEASE!! See your OB/GYN!

Good luck!

I had issues with scar tissue after the birth of my daughter that required surgery to repair. Go see your doctor and let him/her know what is going on and see what they can do.

This must be very frustrating for you and your husband. It's not normal (you probably realize this) for it to sting when you wipe in that area. Please go see your OB/GYN doctor as soon as possible. It sounds like you might have an infection that could be cleared up with medication.
Please keep us posted and let us know what happens. Hope you're enjoying your new baby. Try to enjoy this time as in a blink of an eye your baby will be a teenager as mine is now. I miss those younger years now, but also remember how exhausting it was. God bless you.

You need to talk to your doctor. I understand the burning, I tore from hole to hole after being cut, and I could not yet have sex at 6 weeks, but by 3 months I was fine. 5 months is too long to still be feeling so much pain, you need to have it looked at.

Go to your ob. Seriously there is something going on and they will know how to fix it. You may not of healed totally or it healed wrong
