I would love to join with you! I have been fairly active the last seven years. Wish I had always been. I am 52 years old and started road bike riding about 7 years ago (long distance - 20 miles per day, sometimes a ride of 50 -60 miles on saturdays). I have not ridden but 30 miles total this entire year, so you can see how I have fallen back on my physical activity. I occassionally do weight lifting (which I used to do 4 days a week) and really would like to get back into toning my upper body. I started running when I turned 50 (having NEVER run in my life and always said I NEVER would - never say never, lol). I now run 1 to 3 miles a day, at least 3 days a week. So I am doing something! So, as you can see, I am physically active, but my problem is I love to eat! I am 5"4" and was down to 135, but now am back up to 155. I would really like to keep my weight between 140 and 145. I don't have a lot to lose, but sometimes just losing 10 pounds can be a challenge, especially since I am now older. So yes, I would love to join you. In fact, I had just committed myself again this week to get back on track so I am back on a 1200 calorie daily intake, which is easier for me than points. I use SparkPeople.com to log my food and exercise. My problem is snacking when bored because my job is pretty much sitting at a desk all day waiting on phone to ring so I have lots of slack time. I have some weights by my desk that I am trying to remember to use when I am idle at least 3 or 4 times a day. So HELP me! I need encouragement too! You had a great start to your day! I had an apple for breakfast and my coffee and a large glass of ice water. I try to keep my breakfast and lunch to 400 calories so I can have a better supper and an afternoon snack if needed. My goal is to lose 10 pounds. What is yours? Thanks for suggesting this and it will be great getting to know you and see both our results!!
