I am trying to plan my daughters 1st Birthday party and am in need of a good place to have it. She is still really little so I am kind of lost of where to have it. I was going to have it at our neighborhoods clubhouse but it was completely booked. I was considering the park but I am afraid that the Texas heat might be too hot for the babies and great grand parents. My house wont really work for the event either. If anyone has any ideas thery are greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

Check out some of the other clubhouse in the area. It's a little more but it might worked. It's better then going to a pizza place or park. Yes it is very hot in the summer months and I don't recommend having a one y/o b-day there.
Maybe a family member will let you use their house or they can rent their clubhouse for you.
Hope this helps

We have done a lot of our kids' birthday parties at the local parks but we rented the park buildings. That way, the older kids can go out and play and those that wanted air conditioning had a cool place to come and sit. (It also kept the cakes from melting and gave us a back up in case of rain!) Another safe bet is First Colony Mall or any Chuck E Cheese or Incredible Pizza. Chick Fil A is another good place too. For 1st birthday's , I know you are excited but, you'd be better off keeping it low key. The baby certainly cannot appreciate what is happening. Good luck!

Also not sure where you are located, but a great indoor party place for toddlers is located in First Colony Mall in Sugar Land (Hwy 6 and Hwy 59 area) in the food court. There's a play area for kids under 42" tall - all of the structures are made of that softer, semi-squishy material and each one resembles a type of dessert. They have 3 rooms available for booking, which all have tables, chairs, trash cans and a pinata chain inside. I think you put down a deposit - maybe $75? Then the room can be booked by maybe 2-4 hour time slots I think. If I remember correctly, you don't pay much more (if anything) besides the deposit for the room. But you do have to do the cleanup. Also, the rooms are private, but the play area is still open to the public, so there will most likely be lots of other kids in there playing. If this place is close to you and you like it, I suggest having the party earlier in the day (like as close to morning as possible) to avoid the crowd. For some reason it seems like later in the day some parents (who I guess think the place is their babysitter) like to drop off their older kids in there to play, who are too old for that place, IMO. ANYWAY, it's not that often that that happens though. But my daughter had a party there a couple of yrs ago (she's 6 now) but she's been playing there since she was about a yr old. Good luck!!

Hello, I'm not sure what part of Houston you live in, but I had my daughter's 1st B-Day Party at Tiny Totz in League City this past January. I live in the inner loop, but really couldn't find too many places for toddlers. We loved the place and the kids had a great time (from ages 1-7). Here's the website. http://tinytotz.com
