Need B-day Party Ideas for 2-Year Old in Orlando

My little girl will be two in September and I need some ideas for her birthday party. I would like to have it some place other than our home. Since it is pretty hot right now, we have to consider the weather. If we do an outside party, it would need to be shaded and probably held early in the day. We also don't want to spend a ton of money on the party either. Any suggestions that you may have for the Orlando area that would be fun and reasonably priced would be so much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

So What Happened?

I appreciate the four responses I received to my request. After submitting it, I discovered that there were MANY before me who had made birthday requests. I apologize for the redundancy and am not surprised I received so few responses. So, what did I decide? Although Capehart sounds like a wonderful park, it is a little far from our home. I did follow-up on Rebecca's suggestion of Amaya Papaya and the owner, Yolonda, is quite special. She leads her business from her heart, not her head. This is apparent in her e-mail communication and also in person. Amaya Papaya is located just north of Home Depot on 17-92 in Casselberry which is about 10 minutes from our home. It will be open some time next week and we are really looking forward to seeing it. I encourage all of you to check it out as well. Thanks so much to all of you who took the time to respond!

I had my son's August party 2 years ago at Capehart Park. We did NOT reserve the pavillion because seriously you don't need it. Most of the adults stay close to their kids, not sitting at the pavillion. You can tell the adults to bring a lawn chair if they want one (that's what my in-laws did and I thought that was such a great idea!) They have a few picnic tables so we just plopped our stuff on those.

We had his bday party last year at the Winter Park Monkey Joes. You don't pay anything for adults. I just invited a ton of family (who had fun just watching the kids play) and a few kids with their parents. All I had to pay for was admission for the kids. Then we went down to the pizza place and we bought everyone pizza and brought a Publix cake.

I agree-- Capehart is great!! The splash area is completely fenced in, and the playgrounds are covered by canopies to keep them shaded. There's a bigger playground for the bigger kids, and smaller equipment for the younger kids. I LOVE that park! If you want air conditioning, you might consider a birthday party at PlayNation on Colonial Drive. They sell playground equipment, but they also rent out the space for birthday parties. I think they have two playground sets inside in the air conditioning. If I remember correctly, you get the space for three hours, you can decorate it however you want, and you can bring in your own food and cake. I think the limit is 15 kids. The cost is $175, but that might be worth it to be in the air conditioning. I rented out a neighborhood clubhouse for my son's party, and I think it cost me $75 an hour, and we obviously didn't have indoor playground equipment. That sounds so nice to me, because the kids can play (safely confined) and the parents can talk, and everyone can stay cool! (That's the problem with the hot weather birthdays, right? Otherwise we could just go to any nice park!) I've been to PlayNation with my moms group. It's not fancy, but the kids had a great time. I think it was carpeted, too, which was nice for crawlers or trippers! Here's the link:

capeheart park in east orlando is a beautiful little park no one really knows about, it has amazing shade, 2 play areas and a splash pad! its alittle more than most parks, one designed for littler ones. $100 to reserve but you get a refund if you fill out a questionaire. wont need much else , maybe bubbles or water guns.. we had my daughters b-day there and it was great.
