I live on Raymond Avenue in St. Anthony Park, MN-55108 and need to find infant daycare nearby before November 1st, preferably a center without dogs. Is there anything recommendable nearby ?. I am also considering Roseville area, any comments on the Childrens World Learning center ? Would you prefer to look for daycare in Roseville or the 55104 Area ?

What can I do next?

Hi N.,

Welcome to Minnesota! We have had our 21 month old daughter in the Step by Step Montessori in St Anthony since she was 3 months old. It is an area west of Roseville. I highly recommend it! They are very flexible, the hours are 6;30 am to 6 pm, the staff is excellent and Shiloh has thrived there. It may not be in your area, but it is a suggestion. Their number is ###-###-#### and the director is Pam Carpenter.

Take care,
L.

Hi N.,
my six month old just started at the Roseville Children's World and seems really happy to go there. I also work at the University and they have a excellent daycare but the waitinglist is very long. Maybe you want to get on it.
Feel free to respond to me offline with any other questions. I came here from Germany and know how it is to try and find your way around in a new country.

Have you looked on craigslist.com? I have found daycare on that free site. There is also another good website - offhand, I don't recall the name - but could get it for you if you are interested.

I don't know about the area you are in, but the U has an excellent day care. I would highly recommend looking into that.

Have you looked into the daycare offered at the U of MN? It is probably full for the date that you need it by, but I have heard that it is a great daycare and only open to people associated with the university. You could also try the daycare I have chosen for my infant (still pregnant now). Its called Lasting Impressions and it is located right off University Avenue and Hwy 280 - not exactly in your neighborhood, but not terribly far. I have many friends who bring their kids to this daycare and I feel totally confident using it. Might be worth a call ###-###-####. If they are full, I would ask them for other recommendations. Good luck!
