We sent our son to North Como Preschool for 2 years and LOVED it. They're on Larpenteur just east of Lexington. Wonderful teachers and a GREAT program.

Roseville's Miniapple International Montessori is exceptional. My daughter has learned so much there. They have regular music time with a woman who is a professional singer/guitarist, step-up-to soccer in the summer, field trips, spring/fall programs, Spanish, yoga. The teachers are caring and the atmosphere is fun and safe. I'd highly recommend it.

We have loved a preschool in the Como/St. Anthony area. She is only 3 mornings a wekk so that may/may not fit into your schedule.
It's called Childrens Circle, Ms. Peggy Carlson-Robbins is the teacher. She has a great assistant Ms. Emily. ###-###-####.
It's an in-home Waldorf preschool and has a lovely space. Kids spend time outside regularly, has a great dirt area w/ little shovels so they can find worms, play house, rabbits, celebrates festivals like May Day and going around the May Pole.

Good luck and enjoy. There's lots of good ones out there.

I have my daughter enrolled in the North Heights Preschool on Rice Street and County Road C in Roseville. It has both preschool AND daycare, the teachers are amazing, the program is bible based and is a wonderful place. I chose it because the classes are small and the people that work there are so caring and the kids are really happy that go there. You can learn more about it at http://nhlc.org/Ministries/Schools/NeHiChristianPreschool...

AND the price was right. :)
Good Luck with your search.

My neighbors child goes to the preschool at Bethel College, we were just talking about it yesterday, she is very happy with it. I think Northwestern College also has a program. Good luck! C.

We recently switched to Jack and Jill Preschool and Childcare and are VERY happy. They used to be a preschool only, but they have become a childcare center with extensive preschool. All of their teachers have a teaching degree. In March, they moved to a brand new building, which is great. However, they are technically in St. Anthony now, so I'm not sure if you are willing to check them out. They were in Roseville and moved 1 mile away, which made them in St. Anthony. They are near 35W and County Rd. C.

In St Paul there is a terrific family child care provider named Jean. She runs Treasures of the Heart Childcare & I know she has an awesome program along with preschool. She is just off of 35E and Maryland. Her rates are very reasonable & she is fabulous. (I am a licensed provider as well and happen to know Jean). She is also involved in the Project Pre-K, a program to make sure kids are ready for Kindergarten when they leave her program. www.treasureschildcare.com

K.- Check out the Roseville ECFE preschool program. Its awesome! They have 2 and 3 day sessions. You spend a short time with your child and approx one time a month you have parenting time with other parents which has been totally beneficial! Check them out at www.isd623.org and click on community education and lookup ECFE. I have been going through the progam with both of my kids for the past 5-6 years! Email me directly if you have more questions or want to talk. S.
