I decided to get a little tattoo and I'm looking for a tattoo shop you can recommend.
I live in the Schaumburg area.
I will do my research, but if you know somebody you can refer, I appreciate it.

What can I do next?

Ace of 4 hearts in Joliet. It's very clean, has very good artists and the shop has a great reputation. I just got my first tattoo there two weeks ago, and I did my research.

BTW, I am 40, the mother of two younger children, have an advanced degree and work professionally. And, I LOVE my tat! It's small, on my upper back next to my shoulder blade. I'll be getting the other one next to it, but a little higher, soon. Yippee!

I got mine at Top Notch in Elgin. They did an awesome job with my custom design (wasn't big...I was just very particular about what I wanted). Good, clean and SANITARY shop!

I got mine at the Blue Lotus in Madison, WI. They were fantastic and have free re-inking for life if your tattoo fades. Might be worth a road trip! There's a place in Elgin called Top Notch that's really good too. My brother in law got 2 tattoos there and he's happy with them. Jade Dragon downtown Chicago is huge and highly recommended by a friend of mine. Hope this helps!

I'm not in your area but I had to respond.
Don't let others with judgmental attitudes sway you. I got my tattoo while in my early 40's and I have no regrets, no sagging, no wrinkles, and no green stuff growing out of the tattoo.

Just make sure you love the design you choose and then go for it and enjoy!!

Marion! Hi! I haven't seen you on here for awhile. My daughter has a couple tattoos and I'm not sure where she got them but I can ask her. Her friend's dad knows the owner and it's a good place. Don't listen to people who tell you not to do it! I loved what Laura said about EVERYTHING going south when we get old. Why the heck not get one! (I'll send you a message when I find out where she had it done!)

Don't do it. You'll regret it. No matter how cute it is now, some day it will turn green and fuzzy looking. It's painful and expensive to remove it.
