i did it was an infection. It was not until my abdomen started to swell that it was really evident to anyone but me.. The Dr. stuck a very large needle in it drained 80 cc of yellow yucc out of me. and sent me home on strong antibiotics. The next day I was swollen again. They had to re-open my the scar, drain it, dig out the infection, pack me with 6 feet of gauze. Then I had to be re packed twice a day for 6 weeks so it could heal from the inside out. Very painful and long healing process after being opened up again.

For diarhea you are supposed to cook rice with lots of extra water and then give the rice water to your baby. The rice water has lots of nutrients in it and starch that will help your baby's stool. Best wishes to you and your little guy.

Fever, diarrhea and vomiting is typcially a stomach virus, not teething. Keep him well hydrated, be on the lookout for dehydration and find yourself a more skilled doctor.

Hello, Actually, the fever and other symptoms are not just because he is teething. Your child's resistance is lower during the teething time, therefore he is more likely to get sick. I am surprised that your doctor didn't want to treat the diarrhea or vomiting. This can cause dehydration.
Good luck with your precious little boy.

When was the last time that your son had any shots/vaccines. This is right in line with vaccine injury. Teething does not cause all of this. Let me know if he received any shots in the prior up to four weeks before this started. Your doctor will be the last one to tell you this is what it is so you will need to look for the symptoms yourself. Time to also find a new pediatrician (IMHO) when they tell you this.

It is a weird thing to say but those Drs need to diagnose to give meds. Thank goodness he had no fever he might have gotten something he didn't need just to appease. Water is good and if you make kefir or any type of probiotic like a bit of kombucha will take the diahrrea right away and will do the opposite for constipation. Boy our kids have such intestinal problems we need fermented foods!!!! The growing of food is genetically modified and HFCS is in everything. The Nourising Traditions cookbook can help you if interested. The teething can be part of it as was said but to increase health cook nutrient dense foods and that cookbook has baby food recipes. We really need to watch what we buy and where is comes from plus ingredients. Start now Weston A Price Foundation. org M. NTP RDH

wow your dr sounds horrible...no offense.
I agree with Carla and you should try a lukewarm bath and when my daughter was that young the pediatrician said to keep her in a onesie and a light blanket. Also the biggest thing is to keep him hydrated. Keep an eye on how many pee diapers he has. Is he eating table foods at all? Try giving him as much of crackers, cheerios, or toast as he will eat. Hope he feels better soon.

the doctor said that your baby needed to have a fever so that the doctor himself could find out what's wrong with your darling baby boy? how is that possible!
don't worry, i am a SAHM to 2 young kids - 3 and 2 yrs and expecting no.3 in May. what i would suggest is a lukewarm water bath to cool the baby down. Maybe you should also ask your baby for some medicine to soothe your baby's diarrea. Are you breastfeeding? I am a breastfeeding mom, and my kids have had similar diarrea/throwing up symptoms before - don't worry, it's okay, everything will get better, it's only occasional. However, if symptoms persist, i think it's better if you see another doctor, just to be safe and to have more advice.
