FB Question

So I'm kind of new to FB and still trying to figure things out. A friend of mine posted some pics of us on her wall. I've tagged myself in the pics and 'shared' them on my wall. But her privacy settings are set so you can't see her photos unless you're friends with her. So now only people who are friends with her can see the 'shared' pics on my wall, others can't. How can I set it so that all of my friends can see the 'shared' pics on my wall?
Thanks Mamas = )

What can I do next?

Be careful & mindful of your privacy settings.

Set your page and all your things to 'friends only' if you are putting up lots of pictures of you and your family. When you think about it, if you have let's say, 200 friends and on average most people have about 200 friends - if you let 'friends of friends' see all of your stuff that makes 40,000 people that can look at your pages - most of whom you do not know. Which means that people you don't know can see everything about you, make comments on your phots/posts, etc. My friend and I had an issue with some guy making controversial comments on one of her wall posts and it got REALLY ugly. She had to block him.

Also, NEVER EVER say you are leaving on vacation or leaving your house all day. Only post that when you get back. Peoples houses have been broken into by 'friends' on facebook!

Go to 'Account Settings' and scroll down to 'Account Security', check the box that says 'Secure Browsing (https)'. This will help keep unwanted people out of your account.

Facebook is a great social tool, but it is allowing too many people to see too much of other people's lives. Someone on another blog wrote 'The words Facebook and security should not be used in the same sentence. They are designed to be incompatible'.

Just use common sense and keep you and your family protected.

ADDED: If the girl posting pics of you is your friend, then do a friend request for her and you'll be able to see all of her pictures.

Ask her if it's ok to repost the pictures on your page; if yes, then save the pictures to your computer, and upload to your FB page.

I am not totally certain if there is a way to do this within settings. But one way to get around it is to just right click on her photo and save a copy of the photo to your computer. Then just upload the photo into your own FB album or write a status update with the photo attached.

She may not want friends of yours that she doesn't know seeing pictures of her (if she's in the photo with you). Not really fair (did she ask you if you wanted her friends that YOU don't know to see you in the photos?) but you should respect that should it be the case.

I just looked at some photos that I had been tagged in that were originally posted by friends/family. If you go to the photo you want to share, click on "share" and before you post it to your wall, look at the box that pops up (the one that lets you share it on your wall). In the top right corner there is a little "padlock" icon. Click to drop down the menu and you can choose the privacy settings.

Hope that helps!

Ask if you can copy the pictures and then you have them for yourself.

That's what my friends do, we just ask...
