I need to pick up a bottle of something today to add to a basket of cheer for a fundraiser event.
I'm not a big drinker.
What's the O. thing you'd most like to see in a basket of cheer?
TIA!

What can I do next?

Mixers like Tequila, Rum, Vodka. Personally I love when the basket of cheer has the other stuff like coke, margarita mix, salt. Maybe that is more of a girly basket of cheer.

On a more generic note: a nice Reisling would be fine. Or a yummy, jammy red wine.

Me personally?A welcoming green bottle of Tanqueray for martinis and G&Ts!

In keeping with your theme here, I'd get Camarena Tequila (100% blue agave which is very smooth/mild), Cointreau Triple Sec, and Don Julio margarita mix. Also get some margarita salt for fun.

A martini themed basket. Flavored vodka and a few different martini mixers, you can buy the small (10 oz ish) bottles and have a few varieties for not a lot of money.

We love great wines. Sterling and Kendall Jackson have some good ones that start $50 or more. We like the mid grade Chardonney's and Merlot's.

As for alcohol itself, the new flavored vodka's are good. I like the citrus. I also like the idea of adding the mixers as well.

I can count on two hands the amount of drinks I've had in the last 10 years.

I love Sex on the Beach mixed drinks...but my favorite hard liquor is Malibu Rum. I'd want to see that.

I would do an non-alcoholic drink like sparkling apple cider or something similar. There is even non-alcoholic champagne, but I prefer a sparkling apple cider peach or apple cider mango.

If I went to a fund raiser, I'd look for the non-alcoholic sparkling drinks. I don't buy alcoholic spirits.

Good luck to you and yours.

Every year for my birthday I buy myself a bottle of good aged scotch. Anything 10 years old or older, nothing beats a good single malt scotch.
