I have Fibromyalgia so I'm immuno-compromised, and it's associated strongly with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The kids are taken care of and the house is... mostly taken care of. There are times when I need more help than I get. The pain and fatigue are just things I've always lived with, gradually getting worse over the years until my last pregnancy which triggered things to get dramatically worse during and after.
The warmer months are easier to handle. They're easier on my bones, my joints, my muscles. I have really bad seasonal allergies but in the past few years have finally gotten them under control. Being cold is a nightmare. The pain flares are nearly constant. I'm sick all the time when the weather starts to get cold. Between September/October and May, it's one respiratory infection after another. Sinus infections. Ear infections. I get everything that the kids and my husband bring home even if they're only mildly sick for a day. If they come home with mild flu-like symptoms from school, I'll get the full on flu. So flu vaccinations here all around are a must.
I have a very healthy diet and always have. I eat mostly vegetarian barring occasional meat and some lactose-free dairy and eggs. I think we have the most healthy diet of anyone we know without actually owning a farm and living off of it. ::sigh::
So I deal. I just... deal. I have a therapist that I see frequently. I keep in frequent contact with good friends. I stay active. When I have flare-ups of pain and fatigue, I just take it as a sign that I do what I can and leave the rest up to God. I ask for help and what gets done gets done and the rest can wait.
