Help! I know there has to be some great mamma's out there that have heard of these? Or at least I think that is what they are called. I'm looking for some shorts to go under my 3 year old dresses. I saw something on a blog somewhere that I thought was called fancy pants and they looked like short (mid thigh or shorter) bike shorts that were in several cute designs. I have googled everything I can think of and nothing! I'm hoping someone can help me. Thank you!!!!!
OMG! Thank you so much!!!! yes it is the FRANCIE Pants (I was ignoring the "R"). Thank you to all you wonderful mammas!

My daughter wears Monkey Bar Buddies. I think that might be what you are referring to. However, they only come in solids & they have cute little bows on them. The wash & wear really nicely. http://www.monkeybarbuddies.com/
Show 'em London, show 'em Francie Pants http://www.francie-pants.com/

Google Monkeybar Buddies - we use them and they're great!
Gymboree www.gymboree.com has "bike shorts" which is what I used under my daughter's dresses. When you go to Gymboree, just use the search word "bike short".... not "bike shorts". Their search engine is picky.
Here's a link for example:
http://www.gymboree.com/search/search_results.jsp
(if this link does not work, then input "bike short"
My daughter also used these "bike shorts" for PE or just as regular shorts. Its real comfortable.
It hits mid-thigh. And does look cute under dresses.
You may also be able to find them on E-Bay.
Good luck,
Susan
Hi T.,
I've had such a difficult time finding anything like that too. I've ended up buying pajamas that come with a pj short as well(usually a 3 piece set- top, long pants and shorts) and I use the shorts for under dresses.
Hope that helps!!!

Hi T.,
I have heard them referred to as modesty pants. We have used some shorts that we got that are used for dancing and they work well because they are not too long but still cover her panties.
Good luck,
G.
Monkey Bar Buddies. I was shocked to see that they are selling them at Target. I stumbled across them at a resale shop. We love them. For others, try searching modest apparel or clothing and under clothes. God Bless! J.
old navy has them in the spring too.
I know some religious families only want their daughter in dresses so they use leggings and footless tights as another alternative to shorts (which most don't approve of). Just another option.
Gymboree has bike shorts, some solids and some cute patterns, just plain cotton though. This is what I bought. I also one time found one at Target for a lot less!!!!!!
PS: my daughter refuses to wear them, so it was a lot of wasted money for me. ;-)
oops I just read your postings below, fancy pants are more than gymboree and with shipping....I also found some of them at the Gymboree outlet in Carlsbad which were only like $8. Targets were like $3.99.
