Its normal but any concerns that you have should be checked w/ your pediatrician's office for reassurance. If you are a new mom there is nothing wrong w/ calling them when there is something that concerns you.
My son is 5 weeks old and I am noticing that the whites of his eyes are a grayish-blue. What is this? Should I call the doctor?

My 6 month old had graysih/white sclera as well until recently. It is normal. Just bring it up at your next pediatrician appointment for reassurance. But don't worry, he is fine!
If it will make you feel better, just call. But honestly, I seem to remember my baby having that up until about 3 mo or so.
I would... better off safe then sorry!
It's normal. All my girls have blue eyes, and the whites of their eyes were always kind of grayish when they were young.
If he is eating well and doesnt have a fever and is acting normal for a 5 week old, i would give it a few more days and see if it clears up. if for some reason you think he cant see you, cause by now he should be able to follow you for a few seconds then i would call the doctor.
You may want to have your ped check it out but it does not sound like anything to be worried about to me.
Newborn babies eyes are quite murky colored for some time. Usually around two months they settle down into white whites and bit of color but not what his true color will be yet.
Tincture of time hon, and this will pass.
Best wishes and God bless
