My little boy gets diarrhea when he's been outside in hot weather. My grandmother said her kids used to do the same. I would suppose it's a possibility for adults as well.
Anyone ever have this problem...
When I experience extreme temp changes in a short time, I get bad diarrhea. Hot and muggy outside and enter a very cooled AC environment....trouble. Change of seasons are a problem too. Hot summer day followed by a change to a cool Fall day....trouble. It lasts for about 12 hours until my body has a chance to adjust to the new temperature of my surroundings.
I have never encountered another person with this issue but I'm not exactly asking people about their bowel habits either.

I don't know if it's a coincedence for you or not, but my babies in the daycare have been passing around diahrrea for weeks and it's making me crazy. We've bleached everything again and again and they have no other symptoms. With all the horrible high heat days we've had lately, it would be nice to think there could be another explanation.
drink plenty of water, i read here that temperature changes that cause a lot of sweating and such can cause problems, but it sounds like it is the revers issue (pg 7):

i have had the same issue for years. its horrible and i feel for you.
i get such intense pain followed by instant diarrhea to the point where i have not been able to hold it in. the only relief i had from the pain was once all the stool was gone.
but two years ago it stopped after i had a partial hystorectomy. it was like night and day. Now i am not afraid to go outside in the winter or sit somewhere that is air conditioned.
now i have days where i dont have a bowel movement easily and honestly on occasion i miss having the diarrhea because i kept weight off easier. what a ridiculous thing to wish for.
good luck to you
I'm 47 & have battled this all of my life! Going in/out of shops & stores is really an issue for me.....as is the different areas of grocery stores. & it's an almost uncontrollable need....one which I have to really talk myself thru.
& no, it's not anxiety. With that hot/cold temp change, I will have a chill run over my body, followed by a hot flash......or sometimes it's in reverse. No rhyme, no reason! It is sooooo freakin' annoying! Feel free to personally contact me......I hate that you're going thru this.....
