My daughter really wants this kitchen. We already have one that is more expensive than this new kitchen but it is the only thing she has kept asking for. We almost gave in on her bday in Sept but I thought she would have lost interest by now, she hasn't. Anyways, does anyone have one of these? Do your kids really like it and how long have you had it? I just dont want to buy it if she's going to play with it for a couple hours and then never give it a second glance! I've seen reviews on some sites but no one had it for more than a couple weeks.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well, although we already have a more expensive kitchen we decided to go ahead and get it. I still wonder why but my mom wanted to get it for them from Santa, since she's been asking for it for soooooo long! Thanks to everyone!

When my daughter was 2 (she is 6 now) I got her a Little Tikes kitchen. Not as sofisticated as the new one, but she loved it!!! I too was worried she would never play with it. Not only does she play with her, her 3 year old brother plays with it constantly (mainly to hide his super heroes in), every child that comes to our house makes a beeline for it. I got a ton of the plastic fake foods, dishes and they still play with it a lot. I actually thought of selling it over the summer, but both my kids freaked and did not want to part with it. I think toys like this has them use their imagination, pretend play is the best kind of play for kids and I am sure your kids, all three of them will LOVE it. I don't know about the exact one you are talking about but the one I got was like $150 at the time, durable and still in great shape after four years of play!

Hello S.,
We too have the little tikes cook n learn kitchen (the previous model) we got it for our daughter when she was 3 she is now 6. She played with it a ton and now our son(2) plays with it. Hopefully my littlest one will have as much fun but so far it has been a great toy and lasted forever. Just don't put it outside. :)

Santa is bringing my sons this kitchen for Christmas. We have not had any experience with it yet (obviously) but after researching everything out there we decided on the Cook n' Learn. I am not sure if it would be worth it for a second kitchen but it sure does look like fun. It also seems that it will be educational along with the benifits of role playing. Good luck making your decision.

S.,
My girls and boys all played with a kitchen. I would only buy a toy if they asked for it for more than a couple of month. It was the way I gaged the interest in the toy. I would get her the kitchen. It is a way of roll playing and good for development. Some of my kids cook and some could care less but they all love to play.

Looking at how full your hands are about to be with another on the way- definitely get the kitchen!! They can each have their own kitchen to work in-

We have the Cookin' Fun Little Tikes Kitchen from 4 years ago...way before the Cook n Learn model. My 3,4, and 7 year old play with that more than any other toy they've ever owned. It still works flawlessly and is still in great condition. Kids who come over to play LOVE it. It's TOTALLY worth the investment if you have the space!
