Welcome to the area! I'm pretty new also. I moved here about a year and a half ago. It's a very nice place to live!
Call Shannon Bryson ###-###-#### or her cell ###-###-####.
She works at Salon Panache. It's right on Harbor Boulevard by the beach. She does everything from cutting to extentions.
If you need help with anything else in the area, please let me know. ###-###-####

Hi K. ~ I have a few suggestions for you. I have been waiting to hear back from my daughter's friend. She is 22 and always has great hair. These are the places she likes in our area.

Modern Salon- 1361 Saviers Rd. ( near 5 points) ###-###-####….. Faye was my stylist

Hair We Are- 2641 Ventura Rd. , Port Hueneme ###-###-####… ask for Melanie

Glamorous- Camarillo, ###-###-#### ….ask for Syrita

She has also sent me a list of places that she loves to buy hair if you would like those, I'd be happy to send them to you. Just let me know. I hope I'm not too late in responding but I wanted to give you the best places. Being of the mindset that our hair is our first impression, I didn't want to send you somewhere iffy! Anyway, welcome to the area. I hope you love it as much as I do. I've been here since 2001 and can't imagine a better place to live. Welcome and let me know if you want the names of the places to purchase hair.

L.

Welcome to Ventura County. I like Port Hueneme. There is a beauty shop off of Ventura Blvd, right across the street from the Navy base. Unfortunately the name of the shop escapes me. I will tell you that you will pay LA prices and it's a "typical" black-owned beauty shop, it took a long time to get out of there between the interruptions. Your hair will be "hooked-up" but at a price.

There was a lady at who worked at the beauty and nail shop at the 99 cent store shopping center. I can't remember her name. She does an ok job. My mom had an issue with a perm and color on the same day. My mom was about 75% grey at the time and the color didn't come out right (on the green side).

There was a lady working out of Ray's Barber Shop on Patterson and Wooley. You can inquire there.

There's a shop name Sylvia's near downtown Oxnard. She does good work but depending on what you're wanting to get done, you might pay for it. If I can think of anyone else I'll post it.

Hi there!

There was a place called Sister to Sister on Ventura rd and .. wooley? Check the phone book. It was in the same shopping center as a comic book store, an army surplus storeand a tottoo parlour. Strange combo :)

Good luck!!
