Hi there - Does anyone have any experience with Dr. Purcelli or Dr. Nam? or does anyone have a pediatric ENT to recommend? Problem is, we've got HMO coverage and many do not accept it. We've had a number of ear infections and it looks like we may be heading for tubes.
Thanks!

I've been happy with Dr. Robert Andrews in Santa Monica. I have an HMO, too. Make sure you get pre-authorization from your primary care physician and you should be good to go.

Before you do the tube route why don't you try Santa Monica Homeopathic store and see if they can help you. They are absolutely wonderful.

We took my son to Dr. Purcelli when another child poked him in the ear with a stick and it ruptured his eardrum. Dr. Purcelli was not warm and caring for a very scared child. He rushed and did not really do anything but a hearing test. Then asked us to come back for a follow up. We never did. My son recovered, but the Dr. made a bad experience even worse.

Hi M.,
I have been to Dr. Pucelli, for ringing in the ears, and really liked him. He was a referral from my HMO. Sorry, I don't know of a pediatric ENT, but he was great.
Good luck.
