Endust and Horrible Results on My Dark Kitchen Cabinets

Mamas & Papas -

I used endust on my kitchen cabinets last night. This morning, under sunlight, they look streaky. Some bits are glossy, other bits are dull. What did I do wrong? What do you use? would diluted murphy's oil or pine sol do the trick?

The cabinets are never really greasy, just water marks and finger prints on our brown/black stained maple.

Thanks in advance for your tips.

You need to evenly buff them if you're going to use Endust. Elbow grease required!

I use Murphy's oil and flour sack clothes for all the wood in our house. To get streak free on darker woods may require buffing. I tend to wipe in circles which seems to help avoid streaks.

I use some Pine-Sol in a trigger spray bottle and warm water. I always keep some on hand. Good for cleaning up small spills and woodwork.

Use a soft cloth, old tee shirts work really well, and rub with the grain never against it.

Endust-Pledge-Behold are not good for your wood anything.

I fill the kitchen sink with hot water, dump some Pine Sol in there, and use that to clean our cabinets. It works well for me, and as an added bonus, the kitchen smells sooo clean!
