If I estimate correctly, I am appx 4wks pregnant with baby #2. I would have started my period yesterday or today. However, I have been having mild cramping(no bleeding) today in place of my period. I have read that this is normal due to the uterus getting prepared for our baby boo. Sound familiar to anyone?
Also, I have taken a total of 6 pregnancy tests in the past week. Crazy, I know! I'm anxious! Yesterday (when i would have normally started my period), I took two different brands/types of test; both showing a faint but visible positive result. This morning I took another and it was also faintly positive. A little part of me is worried that I am reading these wrong or my period is just late or my prenatal vitamins are affecting the test results. I have swollen breasts and more tired than normal. These are my only symptoms. Any feedback on my "faint" positive reults?? I am a little afraid to get excited. I have my first prenatal appt is not till March 18th.
Sounds like you are preggo to me! The line is faint in the beginning. If you weren't there would be no line at all and there is no way prenatal vitamins would cause a line to appear. I remember having the same cramping also. Good luck and best wishes to you!

I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks with a faint positive line. I almost didn't believe the test result when I got it! lol I definitely got the same symptoms I usually had before my starting my period, but I'm VERY regular and remember being just a day late and taking a test. It sounds like you are pregnant. I agree with getting a digital test if you want absolute verification!

I remember at the beginning of mt pregnancy that was very planned, I was calculating the days and looking ahead on the calendar to see when I should be able to get a positive pregnancy test and when I should expect to see my period if I wasnt actually pregnant and I of course got very excited and took a test a bit too soon I think because it came back negative and I was so upset and discouraged but thought I should have a bit of hope because maybe I did just take it too soon. Then either later that day or a day or two later I started to get all of the normal symptoms of my period coming on and I remember being so sad. Everytime I went to the washroom I expected my period to be there. But when it never came after a few days of these symptoms I took another test and lo and behold I was preggers. I was so happy. So I would say that you are definitely pregnant. As for the faint line, I agree with the other moms, I have always heard that no matter how faint if there is a line in the 'Pregnant' window you can be pretty sure that you are.
Congrats

Get a digital no faint in them at all. It was worth the extra bucks to me at least.
And faint positive is positive

You seemed to have all the signs of being pregnant, especially the cramping and the feeling that you could be getting your period.
Buy a digital pregnancy test. Clear Blue is the best. It'll say "Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" so there is no confusion. All the Best!

The line is usually faint this early on-----I know it's hard to wait--I was sooo anxious to find out, I took a bunch too. If you wait a week, you will get a strong line. My husband had a hard time believing a faint line was positive....I'm 4 months pregnant now, and he believes me now! Congratulations!

sounds exactly like what i had. My symptoms were exactly like I was getting my period minus any back pains...then I started to feel really bloated.>ICK..My positive prego test came the day after my missed period...however everyone is different. I will say that there were a few times when we were trying i was trying to read the prego test really hard to see a "faint" line. I would stare at the test for 20 mins looking for a change. If you see a DEFINATE faint line (twice) its not your prenatals. Your Prenatals do not give off HGC (or whatever the prego hormone is called) its VERY unlikly anyone will get a false positive test..(False negatives are common because your levels of HGC are not high enough)
Its BEST if you take your prego test with the first pee of the day. that is when your levels are at its highest (and why your pee is soo yellow looking...because its concentrated and not watered down)
Luck luck baby dust!!!

Relax, Mama.
You are pregnant. It is normal to have cramping this early, especially in 2nd pregnancies. A positive, no matter how faint, is still a positive, and there is a baby on the way. Swollen breasts and being tired are both very normal symptoms of pregnancy. With every one of my pregnancies (5 total) I had very faint lines on the test, and they all resulted in babies. If you really want to be sure, get a digital test. This pretty much takes the guess work out of it. Other than that, you'll just have to wait until your appt. Try not to be so anxious. Everything will be fine. :D

I tested at 3.5 weeks with both of my pregnancies and had a faint positive. Congrats, you're pregnant! Also, vitamins won't affect a pregnancy test.

Sounds like you're pregnant to me!!!
They say there's no such thing as a false positive...
I too got THE faintest line w/ my 2nd. I mean so faint I took the test first thing on a Sat. morning, and went back to bed depressed cause I only saw one line. Then looked at it 2 hrs. later and THERE it was-TINIEST line ever-if I had bad eyesight I would have never seen it! Lol. (Took another test the following Mon. and still got a super faint line.)
Well-I'm holding my little faint line right now. ;)
You can always ask your Dr. to do blood work to check your #'s.
That shoud/could ease your mind.
Congrats!!!

I had cramping in the beginning of my pregnancy. They told me I was probably having a tubal pregnancy, I wasn't. Everything was fine, and after talking with other moms, the cramping seems very normal. Mine was fairly severe, too. So I wouldn't worry. Worrying will do nothing positive for you.
Also, I took multiple tests the first week and all were faint, but still positive nonetheless! I have a healthy, beautiful baby to prove it!
Best wishes to you, relax and put your feet up, mama!

I think its safe to say you're pregnant! CONGRATS! I am pregnant with my 3rd, I have had cramping in the beginning with all of them. It always felt like I was going to start. I would only worry if you were bleeding and had lots of back pain.

I'll tell you what my Dr. told me - those tests are pretty accurate. You're right at the time where they're first able to register. The early detection tests will show positive at 4 weeks so it looks like you're preggers! The pre-natals wouldn't give a false-positive.

Prenatal vitamins do not change a pregnancy test result. They do not contain hcg hormone. A faint positive is still a positive. Stop taking pregnancy tests! Congrats! If you start bleeding, call your OB or go to an ER....otherwise, enjoy and bide your time till the appointment. By the way- my pregnancy symptoms normally do not start until around 6-8 weeks (I am currently prego with my 3rd)....and by that I mean nausea and extreme fatigue. So, I wouldn't worry about lack of symptoms at this point either.
Best wishes!

Congratulations! Sounds like your pregnant to me. I experienced severe cramping with both my children. They were severe enough to the point that I felt as if I was going to pass out. I was told that this was normal early in pregnancy especially if it was void of bleeding and after a time it would go away. It did.. Congratulations.... I was also told my a dr friend of mine (cause I was in disbelief with the 2nd) - With the science behind those pregnacy kits now there arent really any such thing as a false positve only false negatives...
