Dry Shampoo

Has anyone ever tried that dry shampoo from Bumble & Bumble?

I've always wanted to try it but am now afraid it won't work.

It's a dry shampoo powder you put on your hair. I think it absorps the oil in your hair.
It's just to be used in between shampoos. I shampoo every single day and it's tiresome ( I have long-ish hair) and it takes forever
to dry! I went to go buy it & it comes in different colors (blonde, brown).....that turned me off. Eek.

If you've used it...does it work? Is it gross? Why is it colored....would it show? Would it look like you have dandruff? I don't get it
being colored. Eeek. (Would be great for camping, I guess.)

What can I do next?

Try a cheaper one first.

I bought the Big Sexy Hair one and it leave a weird residue.

I'm thinking of trying another brand.

My cousin is a hair dresser and told me to get it. It is pricey but it does work well. It doesn't flake in your hair at all. It's like spraying baby powder in your hair which absorbs the oil. It comes in colors to match your hair so you can't see it. If you used baby powder the white would show in your hair. This way it is concealed. It also makes your hair look fuller. It's not about smelling clean or masking, it actually takes the oil out and gives a little bit of body so your hair looks freshly washed.

I use the tresemme spray. It's pretty great. It's a powder and alcohol base so it dries really quickly. It's especially helpful if I've been around a smoker and want to get the smoke smell out of my hair. You spray it on and brush it out. Like febreeze for hair!
Also, baby powder works too. Hold the bottle upright and squeeze. A puff of baby powder comes out and into your hair. I do that a few times all around and then brush it out. It absorbs oil and odors and leaves hair fluffy, full of volume and smelling baby fresh!

I use this stuff: http://www.amazon.com/Batiste-Dry-Shampoo-Blush-5-05/dp/B...

It got pretty good reviews on amazon, and I managed to find it for about $6 and free shipping. I'd say it makes my roots look a little grey, but it ends up working out since my roots are much darker than my ends. The "blush" fragrance smells like baby powder deodorant, can't speak to the other fragrances.

I have long hair as well and bought the Tresemme Dry Shampoo bc I don't like washing my hair every day. Basically the only good it does is that is takes the bad smells out of your hair from the previous day.....my hair still ends up looking like a limp, flattened mess. Guess we are back to washing every day...BLEH!

I tried the Suave Dry Shampoo with a free coupon and I'm sure it's basically the same ingredients. I'm not loving it. It's kind of like the trick of putting powder in your hair to absorb the oil but in a spray form. So you can actually see the 'white' coloring which is why, I assume, Bumble & Bumble offers 'colors'. I also didn't care for the scent. It doesn't smell bad, it's just overwhelming - once again, like spraying a bunch of baby powder around in the room. I don't think I'd purchase it again or any other brand, personally. But as far as absorbing the oil in an emergency, I guess it worked 'ok'.

I use Batiste (blush) which is a dry shampoo spray - it smells good and works awesome. It leaves a white "film" but you brush it out or rub your fingers around and it comes out.

I have medium-length hair (past my shoulders, but not all the way down to my bra) & I shampoo every other day. In the summer time I use a dry shampoo by Garnier that's actually a foam you use on dry hair. I use it on the roots near the front & crown of my head which is where I sometimes get oily in the summer. You pump it into your hands, run it through your hair, rub a towel over it to pull out any dirt/residue & re-style. It smells kind of citrusy.

I actually posted a similar post a year ago and went out to Ulta and just tried few sample sizes. So far the Ojon brand is what I like best. It is a spray based and I like it for the in-between to freshen up and absorb the oils.
I acutally did not try the Bumble & Bumble. . .

I thought dry shampoo was for if you had surgery or something and couldn't wash your hair. I used it after I had that keratin straightener and I hated it and ended up just washing it out anyway. I also used it years ago when I had jaw surgery. I used a cheap one though, so I don't know about the more expensive brands.

LOVE IT!! One of my girlfriends is a hair dresser and gave me some samples one time... It's wonderful, but pricey ;)

I've also used Treseme dry shampoo, it looks like mousse, it's not as good, but easier on the wallet.

I tried the Tresumme (spelling?) one and it worked great... Like one other person said it was white on my hair. To get rid of the whiteness I had to run the blow dryer through my hair and blend it through. Maybe that's why it comes in colors. It worked well, I don't use it very often... only if I have to. It doesn't look like dandruff. I would recommend that you try a cheaper formula first and then see if you like it... They are all probably really similar and it will give you an idea of what it will look and feel like on your hair.

I used to use it and LOVED it!!!! I only stopped just because it is a little expensive, but if you can afford it, I highly recommend it. I recently bought a small, travel size at Ulta of some other brand. It's a spray and it's awful. I think it might be Oscar Blandi. It is very fumy and didn't help the oiliness or give any fullness back, as the B&B powder did.
