I second the recommendation for sit & stand. They're really great, and it sounds like the perfect option for you.

try ebay. thats where i got mine and its great it also cost me $100 less than at walmart or other stores. Just look for eather brand new or used once. or try walmart online they can deliver it to your house or for no shipping costs you can have it shiped to your local walmart all you need is a debit/credit card or gift card from walmart.
Get the Sit and stand stroller, they are wonderful.. Your son can stand on the platform in the back and if his little legs get tired you can let him sit down. They have a basket for carrying stuff.. I love mine, and my son was the same as yours, but he loves this stroller. He calls it his big boy spot.
They are made by Joovy or Baby trend.. Here is a link for both..http://www.target.com/gp/search/601-###-###-####-###-###-...

When I was pregnant with my second we purchased a double stroller. It is now 6 years later and we are still using it. They are wonderful, although can at times be cumbersome. The sit and stand is a good idea, but you want to consider if you will be having more after this, and also if you ever watch someone else's kids. I currently have a 3 year old and a 14 month old who regularly use the double stroller. When we go for a walk the 3 year old almost always walks, but when she tires I put her in the stroller and then I can walk real fast for exercise. In addition, having a double stroller makes it easier to say yes to watching a friends baby because I know we'll be able to get out of the house. There have been numerous occasions when I have watched a friends baby and have been so glad to have the double stroller.
I will admit that as my baby gets older I have started thinking about a single stroller or the sit and stand, but I think I will just stick with my trusty double stroller rather than spend money on another one, which will probably only be in use for another year anyway.
My double stroller is so sturdy that my 6 year old is even known to sit for a bit when we go for a long walk. My point is...you will get your money's worth out of a double stroller if you ever go for walks, watch anyone elses kids, or even think you might go on to have more.
Different topic but when I had my first we decided not to get a high chair and just use one of those that strap on to the seats because it was cheaper. 8 years later and I just bought a high chair because we ran out of seats. Sure wish I would have just bought the high chair in the beginning. Sometimes it makes sense to just go for it.

May I suggest a Boogie Board? My son was 30 months when my younger one was born and I did buy a double stroller. I definitely used it a lot the first couple of months until I discovered a Boogie Board. He loved standing on it. It was so much easier than the double b/c the double was really heavy and cumbersome. We never even used the double anymore.
Not only that, but when the little one turned about 6-8 months, they couldn't not sit side by side without bothering each other so it became a nightmare.
The only thing is on long trips and especially if your older one still naps outside, it might be easier. Other than that, I wouldn't even bother.
ps- We also had a sit and stroll and let me just tell you, that thing is so heavy and hard to push around!
At 22 months I wouldn't bother. How many more times is he actually going to in the stroller anyways? My daughter is about 30 months old and I don't think I have put her in her stroller since about 22 months! If he hates the stroller now, don't bother.
I just found a comfy sling and kept the baby in the sling where he would never fuss- my babies always fussed in the stroller when the wheels stopped moving. I actually taught my 2 yr old to hold onto the tail of the sling when walking next to me so I would always have both hands free and not worry about him wandering off. He had a choice- hold onto the sling of your own accord or go in the stroller with a seatbelt.
Yes. It is needed. 22 monthold kids are stubborn naturally. But you are the boss and when you need to go somewhere having that double stroller will make life a bazillion times easier for you. Graco duo glider's are reasonably priced, easy to handle, and not obnoxiously huge. If you can afford it, than get one!

totally not needed. everyone i know has the ride on, so your older son can stand and ride, or help push.
I have a graco duo glider.. black brand new.. i took it out of the box and NEVER took it out of the house!!!! i'd sell it to you half off if u really want one..
well i have a 3 year old and an almost 2 year old and i loved my double stroller,
because the baby was always strapped in and when yoou need to go someplace alone without hubby you have a safe place to put your son,
Every once in a while they are sick, tired, cranky, restless and frustrated,
Its not about what he wants its about being able to keep him safe,
Eg. when i go to the doctor, i strap them into the stroller and they sit there while i am being checked out,
so he is safe, not touching all the office germs, i can listen to the doctor ect..
OR your at a mall and its crowded, and you turn your head for a second, and he hides, or wanders off, and you need to run in 2 directions , Or he is acting up and you need to punish him.
OR your at a store and need to cross a street
have you ever tried to hold a hand, your purse, the diaper bag, shopping bag and push the stroller. NOT EASY believe me
And remember what its like in the winter, and during infancy
can you really carry that infant car seat into walmart and hold your other sons hand at all times? And its very wet in winter, sometimes you just need a way to keep em dry.
NOW its completely up to you,
once upon a child
craigslist
this is a good way to get one second hand or FREE
Hope this helps and good luck

I would say don't buy it unless you really find you need one after the baby is born. At the mall, I enter thru Sears and use a cart for my boys. Wait and see....you can always purchase one if you feel it is needed. Good luck and enjoy!
