I found something at baby depot that makes 2 single strollers into a double and it was only 10 dollars. it is kind of a calmp system.
I have two sons who will be 4 and 2 when we take our first cruise Jan 2010. What I am looking for is an umbrella stroller which can be attached to create a double stroller or detached to creat two single strollers. I thought when I researched strollers 2 years ago I saw a few of these on the market. I am not having any luck finding anything like this currently. I figure at times one parent may have both children or we may go off separately with one child each. I want something lgihtweight and less bulky than an actual double stroller.
Thank you for all of your advice. I think I am going to try the conenctors that Melanie D sent the link for. Now I need to figure out which umbrella strollers I want to buy! Our last one broke on a recent trip to AZ. Good thing I have plenty of time to figure it out.

I saw the clamp system to link 2 strollers side by side at Babies R Us today so you can try there too.
Toys R Us had a strap thingy that you could buy to hook together the 2 single JEEP stollers that they sell.
We bought 1 of the JEEP single strollers and LOVE IT!!! They push soooo nice.
Also, what cruise line are you taking? We've done both Carnival and Royal Carribean with kids with and I know Carnval has JEEP strollers you can rent. (Single or Double---they are the same price.....) So that is always an option as well. They charge per day though so it may get a little spendy. We only rented one for like 2 days but I can't remember what they charged.... When we took the Royal Carribean we only had our daughter and brought a stroller with. With the Carnival we had 2 kids and only brought 1 stroller and a carrier. And both kids wanted the stroller!!!
Cruises are AWESOME vacations to take with the kids. We had a blast both times. We preferred Royal Carribean though because there were fewer kids and it was LESS of a party ship. More of a relaxing time. Carnival was a TON of young people who liked to party all the time..... And Royal Carribeans' entertainment seemed more G rated (very clean) than Carnival (there were some things we did NOT go to)... Just our opinion. We were going as more of a family thing.
I would just do 2 umbrella strollers. They do sell this plastic devise attachement where you can attach the two and make them a double. I think you can buy it at Babies R Us or online baby catalog.
I also have a 4 and 2 year old, and my suggestion is to use your umbrella stroller (I assume you already have one) and get a backpack carrier. You can push the stroller, and have dad haul around the 2 year-old in the backpack... fun! Sorry that didn't exactly answer your question, but just an alternative. :)
I have two umbrella strollers with the connectors from Babies R Us and it makes it slick if I need to push the girls at the same time, and it comes off easy if hubby decides to push one and I push the other one.

This ones are very easy to use, these are the ones that I use.

P.S. I would sell them to you but I still use them.
L., If you have a regular single stroller (not an umbrella), I have a Buggy Board for sale. It is a detachable standing board for preschoolers. We bought it for Disney World and it was fabulous. If you might be interested, email me and I'll get you a picture.

A friend who had twin daughters just tied together two umbrella strollers with those straps, I can't remember what they are called though, that you slide one end into the little hole on the other end.

When I researched these, it was only the connecting piece I could find for two regular umbrella strollers. I opted not to do it because it was time consuming to take them apart and put them back together - not just a clip and unclip, but involved a screw driver. I also chose to get a double umbrella stroller because it was cheaper than buying two singles with the attachment piece and was not as wide because the two sides share the middle bar. (Mine is about the width of a wheelchair, so I can barely make it through doors.) If you had two single umbrellas attached, it wouldn't fit through a lot of doors. If you were looking for a nice umbrella double, I really like the Jeep one. Seats recline and comes with a double canopy, storage pouches and cup holder. Otherwise, I would just get two singles and have you and your husband each push one.
Enjoy your cruise,
