Donating Used Baby Bottles??

I'm not sure about this one. Can you donate used baby bottles? I have around $100 worth of Dr. Brown bottles and parts that I am done with. I don't want them to go to waste if they could really help somebody. Does anyone know of any shelter or organization that accepts them? I figure if they're sterilized and with a new nipple, surely someone could use them. Or is there a place to recycle them maybe?
Thank you!

I found an organization called Young Lives. They are a nonprofit that serves as mentors to teenagers who are pregnant or parenting. They have girls as young as 12 and up to 18 that they serve. They have a monthly meeting where they set up a table and let the girls go through and take what they need from any donations they receive. They get someone to donate food so the girls can eat and then they talk to the girls and provide one on one mentoring also. I was so touched by this organization, to think of a 12 year old pregnant, blew my mind. Anyways, if you have any baby/kid stuff that you are wanting to donate, they will come and pick it up from you. They will provide you with their TIN so you can assign a dollar amount and then write it off as a donation on your taxes. The woman I dealt with, Priscilla, was so kind and appreciative. I will give the name and number on the receipt which is Lisa Malmin ###-###-####. Again, I worked with Priscilla but I am sure Lisa will be just as helpful!

Hope that helps and I am sure they would love the bottles!

Yes, You can actually take them to a childrens resale shop and get cash or credit. I would call around. Also I would call a womens shelter or teenage pregnancy hotline. The county always takes donations. Still call around. Start with your city offices or call community infomation and referral number inside the first page of telephone book.

I'm sure the House of Refuge would accept them. There's one in Gilbert.
