Donating Furniture - Birmingham,MI

Grace Center Thrift Stores will come and pick-up the furniture I believe. Here is the information. We bought a sleeper sofa about 4 years ago from here so I know they take furniture. Also a portion of the sale of merchandise from this thrift store goes to Grace Centers of Hope in Pontaic, MI, which is a homeless shelter.

I think the donation place depends also if you want to have the tax reduction for your tax or not.
If you are not interested on tax reduction for next year, you can also go at http://www.freecycle.org/group/US/Michigan and post your donation for the group which is closer to you. You will get answers from people who ar ein need for your donation right away, they came and pick them up, and most of the time you get more then one annswer, so you can chose for yourself to whom the donation goes.
