Try freecycle.com or CraigsList and offer them for free. Someone will want them.
Does anyone have any ideas what to do with blinds that were on my windows. They are actually nice, Hunter Douglas white wood, and woven woods that are only a little over 2 years old. I know they are a specific size to fit my windows, but I hate to throw them in the garbage. I am having a hard time finding someone to take them. I looked into Habitat for Humanity, but they don't accept those. Most charities don't want them. Any ideas? Thanks.

There is a Habitat for Humanity store by Fox Valley mall, too (Restyle or something like that). Otherwise, I am sure Savers or Goodwill would take them.
I'll take them! I've used freecycle before, lots of nice people. I also use Jolietyardsales.com instead of craigslist. Otherwise try the thrift store. There is one off Rt 30 across from Target in New Lenox.
I use freecycle.org to offer various things to give away and have also on occasion found things things that I needed. The premise is you give and take for free. Anyway, there is a group in your area and you could sign up and send out an offer to give away the blinds, and you will get responses directly to you.
