Walk into ANY Starbucks and you'll see how Seattlites cope with 10 MONTHS of grey skies and damp, drizzly, weather that gets into your bones and makes your clothes all sticky, and your hair all frizzy, and promotes sinus infections that last for years.
WARM rooms (colors, temp), music, and stimulants.
At home, most of us/many of us, do exactly that.
When it's grey and yucky outside (situation normal), I climb in a hot shower, come out and crank up the music/make sure the heat is on, and have a Coke. (I prefer coke over coffee 99/100).
We also go tanning, take vitD supplements, and have a LOT of "workarounds". I'm talking things like videogames (kinnect is great for kids, because it keeps them moving in a small space), indoor play areas (McDonalds, Community Centers), and heading up above the snow line to get out of the rain.
