When you said Love and Logic I thought you meant the book, Parenting with Love and Logic. Is that what your therapist meant you think? I have the book, it has been very helpful.
I have 3 kids, the oldest is in a behavioral hospital at the moment that specializes in Autism (he's Asperger's Syndrome). The therapist has recommended using the Love and Logic method for all three of my children, but the only sites I can find on it when trying to gather info is for going to their parenting lectures or purchasing their "programs". I am a limited income parent who would typically pay for any chance to be "Mom of the Year", but can't. If anyone knows of a site that I can get free info about this program, or would be willing to point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks

I think you should visit http://autism.meetup.com/237/ to network with families and friends of children with autism, Asperger's syndrome, or PDD-NOS in the Houston area. You can talk and share strategies, treatments with other parents. Copy and paste the link into your browser. I hope you find the help you are looking for. Good luck.

I am a family therapist (LPC, NCC) and have not only taught Love and Logic to parents, used it with teenagers in behavioral treatment facilities but I also use it with my own 3 year old. You can go just about anywhere (Half price books, Barnes and Nobles, Amazon) and purchase Jim Fayes book teaching the basic principles ($14.00 used) His website offers much more variety in books and CDs that specialize in age groups etc. but if you are on a budget just start with the book. If you want to splurge and spend another $15.00 buy a CD of one of his lectures. I like "Helicopter, Drill seargents and Consultants" Jim is a great speaker you will walk away laughing from his stories and won't even realize how much you learned. I don't know that I can really sum up what Love and Logic is all about in a short email but I can tell you it's about taking care of yourself as the parent, giving your child choices you can live with, and allowing your child to solve their own problems. The rest you will have to read for yourself.

Someone gave me that book a few years ago, and it it amazing. I doubt there is a website, but look for a copy at the library. It really works well!
I don't have any of the literature, but call your local ISD, they generally sponsor Love and Logic and explain your situation and they should be able to help you. The last time I went it was $15 or $20 to do the course.
If your ISD doesn't do it. Contact Love and Logic and offer to arrange it through a community center or something and you should be able to attend for your volunteer efforts. Depending on where you are, I know I would attend. Advertise at libraries, grocery store, etc and other mom's would too.
If we are close to one another, I don't mind helping. Good luck!
