Does Anyone Have a Phil & Ted's E3?

I'm looking into getting a durable stroller, not necessarily for jogging, and I think I like the Phil & Ted's e3. It starts as a single stroller, but a second seat can be purchased and attached in front or behind for a second child, making it far less wide and cumbersome than most other strollers I see around here. However, I don't think I've ever seen a Phil & Ted's, which makes me wonder if people just don't like it? Does anyone have any experience with this brand? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I have one - I love it! I saw one being pushed down the street once before I bought it. I went to the Right Start store on Clyborn to see one and try it out before we ordered it online. (I HATE red and that's all they carried in store. Babycenter.com has them on sale again right now. We waited for their save 15% sale....) I use it mostly as a single, but we attach the double seat in the back when she goes to the babysitters so their daughter can ride too. I don't find it to be hard to push even when both girls are in it. I've never used it in the infant/toddler mode, only single and two toddler. I'm a huge fan. It is pricey, but totally worth it.

I have the Phil & Ted's and I would NOT recommend it. I don't use it anymore and bought the Greco double stroller which I love. Phil & Ted's - the front wheel always goes crazy and makes it hard to manuver, after opening and folding it so many times the plastic support broke through the canvas and I have sewed it about 5 times, the front bar is too high and the seat reclines way too much for when a child is 6 - 18 months, the front tire goes flat and needs to be filled with air all the time AND it's very expensive not to work like a dream. Greco is great easy to move around, colapse, and the front to back seating works great - just put the little one in the front when he can sit up and then you don't have to worry about hair pulling. Hope this helps.

Hi E....
I have a Phil and Ted's, and I love love love it. It is sturday,a very smooth ride, easy to fold and unfold, and pretty light, so easy to get in and out of the trunk. But the biggest feature for me is the ease with which I can take it from a single to a double.
Both my sons love it. My youngest is 5 months, so so far have been lying him flat, with the extra seat in front for my older (2 yrs)boy to sit in. As soon as it warms up,willbetaking it out again, and Adam will be in what i call the "Bucket seat". You do lose storage space at the bottom when you have the extra seat there, so we are getting some hooks that you pu on the handle to hang diaper bag etc.

i am very happy with my stroller, andthink you will be too.
Good luck!! Hope this helps.

We've used the Phil and Ted's with our daughter (now 5 months). In the beginning, we used the additional "moses basket" and lay her flat in the stroller. It has different positioning for stages of development. I've found it great for getting about even through the snow. It's been a great stroller for us. I don't know about the feel with a second child, however.

After a lot of research on strollers and a few visits to Right Start (their staff is very knowledgeable), I chose the E3 and love it. It is great for our needs now and in the future. I was also nervous because I didn't see many around, but lately I have been seeing a lot of them. Keep in mind that all strollers will have some faults...just pick one that fits your most important needs.

We've had the stroller for almost 2 years and LOVE it! Purchased it when I was pregnant with my 2nd so we've used it in every set up possible (single, infant and toddler, 2 toddlers) and it works like a champ. It gets used almost every day and we've had to replace the tires once.

My kids have never really minded being stacked on behind the other; we put the 3 1/2 year old in the rear seat as she like to walk and will then climb in when she gets tired.

the only negative for us is the lack of storage space when this stroller is set up as a double. No cup holders and no room for a diaper bag. I think Phil and Ted's now offer's some accessories to deal with that issue.

My cousins have it but I personally don't like it so much. The positioning of the bottom part for a sleeping baby makes me nervous they'll fall out. But they both love it. Its a nice stroller and lots of ppl. have it. It is at lazar's - a store near me.

I LOVE my Phil & Ted's. I've had it for 2 years. I got it when I was expecting my 2nd child. My kids are two years apart and I really searched high and low for a double stroller. I think you just don't see alot of the e3s b/c the distribution channel in the States, meaning you can't get it at the big chain stores.

I like that it's convertible & I can use it different ways. It's durable and sturdy. I like the big tires, they work well on uneven sidewalks and nature trails. All in all a GREAT stroller.

i have the stroller. i really liked it at the beginning, but when my #1 insists on getting out when #2 is sleeping, i liked it less. also, it is hard to push when both kids are in, my kids are about 55-60 lbs total. however, i like it a lot as a single stroller. i also prefer to take it in the car much more than the heavy mbud. i do see it a lot here in oak park by the way.
