I belong to an association, PICK of North Texas. It a group of home based day cares. The website is http://www.pickofnorthtexas.com. You should be able to find someone with openings on this website. I know most everyone and they should be just fine. We are all listed, registered or licensed with the state of Texas. Good Luck!

My daughter goes to St. Mark's Child Development Center on 15th and Alma. She has been there since she was 8 months old and she is now 2. We absolutely love it! It may not have all the bells and whistles of a place like Creme de la Creme (or the price tag), but my daughter could not be happier or better taken care of. The staff are all so loving and caring, and she has learned so much since she has been there. I can't speak highly enough of it. Good luck with your search.

My daughter is at Richmond Hill Montessori (Preston/Plano Parkway area). The only issue would be they do not have a class for children younger than 18 months.

Hope it helps.....

I don't know what area of town you are in but how about asking some neighbors.

I'm in Plano and most of the childrenin my nieghborhood do not go to day care but some do go to after school programs and a few have nannies. I bet you could get some good references from parents at the bus stop, church, mom's groups, gym's, etc.

Start networking with people you see (and trust) on a daily basis and get ideas, references, etc. our homeowners association has a secured website for people to advertise their child care, babysitters, pet sitters, etc.

Good luck to you!
