I don't, but I do keep a basic inventory, create menus before making shopping lists, shop the sales, and I do clip the coupons that I would use from the Sunday paper. I don't think it's a great deal to "save" (but still spend something) on things I don't need, use, or aren't the best for us. I remember back in the day when my M. would go to the Macys 1 day sales and spend money that my dad didn't think we could spend on clothes. M. would be like "What's your problem? We need shirts and I saved 60% off this shirt!" But....we didn't need shirts then, and charging it on a credit card and then paying interest on it wasn't a great deal, even if she saved 60%. A great deal to me is saving on what I was going to buy anyway, and not having to do without something because I used up my money on a sale, for something that wasn't needed at the time. I don't need 25 bottles of shampoo, ya know? But I do keep what we use and have extras so there's no more late night "emergency" store runs, and I do happily produce coupons for an item I'd buy anyway. Common sense is the way to go though. It's very rare that I think "extreme" anything is good.
