Not worth it. I do not need 200 bottles of body was etc. none of the coupons in my area are for good food Just processed stuff. If I had 500 candy bars in the house I would eat them. The folks that do this and donate to shelters are the best. I think others are OCD hoarders. I clip cereal coupons and others things before I head to store.

No. If I come across coupons for stuff I use, I use them. I don't spend hours clipping coupons, nor am I going to buy coupons. I have no desire to have a stockpile of 50 bottles of shampoo, and 150 boxes of cereal, nor do I have a place to put it if I did.

I use to, but hten decided most of the free stuff wasn't stuff I needed, and that the time it took just wasn't worth it to me.

I do still use coupons, but I use to spend two days a week shopping, running from store to store. It was soooo time consuming.

I do still receive 4 Sunday papers. YOu need at least 4 for BOGO deals.

I like to clip and use coupons for stuff we use or products I want to try, but the extreme couponing only works if you are in an area that allows doubling. Otherwise it is not worth it. I have never been in a store that allows doubling. And I've seen the extreme coupon shows and find it to be a little ridiculous because honestly who needs 80 tubes of toothpaste, 100 boxes of pasta, 60 bottles of ketchup? It's very OCD. I have learned to buy in moderation since storage can be an issue.

I don't do it, but I've seen the show on TV and some of those women actually get inside dumpsters to find the coupons. Can't say that I want to save money enough to get in a dumpster!

Ask neighbors to save their coupons for you.

Read the article I put the link to. It's about an ex-extreme couponer and that there are better ways to save. I used to think I would love to do it but the more I worked at it and the more I tried, the worse I did. And I don't have a space to stockpile tons of stuff. Now - I am just happy to have coupons for the stuff I use and that are on sale.

You are so lucky you live in Ohio. I live in california and extreme couponing is really hard here because they don't double coupons. Meaning if a coupon is 50 cents your store would double it to $1. I've still managed to get a decent stock pile but geez if I lived where you did I would be loving it! Because also if the coupon is more than the item your store would give you money back. The day the ads come out I check the sales and then I buy most of my coupons from ebay. Also coupondede.com isn't bad either. Don't be nervous, get excited! Stores not only get the money back for the coupon they get an additional 8cents back for each coupon taken. When you purchase coupons on ebay make sure your getting a good deal. I also clip coupons from Sundays paper but I find ebay and coupondede to be more effective. Also don't forget drug stores like walgreens and cvs because they have good deals too but their ads come out at different times. At least here anyway. Make yourself a coupon binder to inspire you. You will fall inlove

I don't do EXTREME couponing, but when we were able to get the Sunday paper, I would clip coupons. I used a free site called couponmom.com to organize my shopping. It does all the work for you, so check it out!

I don't, but I do keep a basic inventory, create menus before making shopping lists, shop the sales, and I do clip the coupons that I would use from the Sunday paper. I don't think it's a great deal to "save" (but still spend something) on things I don't need, use, or aren't the best for us. I remember back in the day when my M. would go to the Macys 1 day sales and spend money that my dad didn't think we could spend on clothes. M. would be like "What's your problem? We need shirts and I saved 60% off this shirt!" But....we didn't need shirts then, and charging it on a credit card and then paying interest on it wasn't a great deal, even if she saved 60%. A great deal to me is saving on what I was going to buy anyway, and not having to do without something because I used up my money on a sale, for something that wasn't needed at the time. I don't need 25 bottles of shampoo, ya know? But I do keep what we use and have extras so there's no more late night "emergency" store runs, and I do happily produce coupons for an item I'd buy anyway. Common sense is the way to go though. It's very rare that I think "extreme" anything is good.
