I went several years ago and my daughter was not at all enchanted with Disney itself, but LOVED the place we stayed- it had an indoor pool with waterfall- can't recall the name of it though!
My best advice- take a stroller!
hi moms-
taking a trip to disneyworld right after the new year with my 2 year old son and 3.5 year old niece, aunts, uncles, granparents, etc. problem is the last visit anyone made there was more than 12 years ago. i'm sure alot has changed. need any type of advice to make the most out of a 3 day/2 nite visit memorable for the two youngest in our clan. discounts, websites, general advice of what to do and what to stay away from. thanks in advance and happy holidays to all!

HI A., I have gone to Disney world every year for the past 30+ years. (Most moms in my moms group think I am crazy!!!) I have taken all my kids there, the youngest's first trip was 4 months. The best website I have come across is allearsnet.com, it has a huge amount of info, menus & answers to questions you may have. My biggest tip would be if you are staying on disney property to take advantage of the early magic hours in the morning or extra magic hours in the evening. I definately would go to Magic Kingdom and Epcot with kids. If you want you can email me at ____@____.com

We just went to Disney over Thansgiving and had a wonderful time! Here is a discount ticket tip. You can save 20% at Busch Gardens and Sea World using your Southwest Rapid Rewards Card. You have to go to customer service to buy your ticket. In addition you can get a second day free at both parks. You have to let them know that you want to do this before leaving the park. I found this deal on www.mousesavers.com. They also have some other great deals and tips. Have a great time!
Here is the mousesavers link:
I go to mousesavers too! It helped same us alot of money! My biggest tip is get up early and come back in the afternoon and let your child rest, then go back out. We used to go go go and my son 1,2, and maybe three at the times we went would get crabby and it would just get rough. I would give him about 2 hours and then he would be set for the rest of the day. Then we would go go go again! My suggestions are The living seas at Epcot. If you end up going to Epcot, you have to go there. It is my sons favorite, and if you can, eat at Chef Mickeys in the Contemporary. Its character dining. So much fun!!!! You could also go to your local library and check out a Disney travel book. There is a new on published each year.
Have a great trip!
A.,
We took our daughter in September, she's 3 and we had a ball. We got an unbelieveable deal at a condo that I would recommend highly if you can grab it. I ended up getting it on Ebay of all places (I travel a lot and am really picky). It is called Vacation Village at Parkway. We got a condo that had a balcony, full dining room, big screen TV, full kitchem. The unit seemed brand new. We paid $229 for the entire week. They have 3 or 4 pool areas and they are clean and really, really nice. It's about 10 minutes (if that) from the parks. Really easy to navigate and we're able to go back and forth for naps without a problem. The condo complex also offers these really cool ajoining rooms in case you have a group of people. If you have any questions, let me know. Oh, and if you end up staying here, ask for one of the new buildings with a room facing away from the pool and a high floor. We had that advice and we had a quiet room with a view of the epcot ball!! We saw the fireworks nightly.
A piece of advice I was given when traveling with our young children was to bring our own snacks and drinks. Not only did this save us a lot of time, but money as well. We stopped before we got into the Disney area and stocked up on items that I knew the kids would like. Have a great trip.
Get the book, "The Unofficial Guide To Disneyworld" It's extremely helpful. Your local library probably has it...
Good luck and have fun!!!
Just got back from DisneyWorld on Sunday. I love that place! I've found the website www.wdinfo.com to be extremely helpful. There are lots of people in the forums who have tons of knowledge about the parks, resorts, dining options, and great tips about your trip. I'm sure your son will enjoy Magic Kingdom. Hopefully you'll be able to arrange a character meal. Those are a lot of fun.
