Early December.....it is not busy at ALL and the Christmas decorations are amazing. It is so much more magical around Christmas. February is very wet, so expect rain when you are there then.
We would like to go to Disneyland. We home school so we are open all year around. I'm thinking February since the weather seems to be nice that time of year. But I'm not sure about crowds. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
C.
Thanks so much for the help :) Hubby goes yearly for business and yes there was some rain a few of his trips. I'm now thinking Sept or Oct. Again thank you for your answers.

I agree with previous poster that February can be iffy. It usually rains alot (for so cal) in feb. If you are traveling far and would like to make sure and have good weather, october is a great month to go. The park is decorated special in october as well. We go often and last year we went in september (it was SO HOT in california adventure--- in the 90s), february (it was rainy) and december (it was rainy then too).
as long as you avoid spring break or holiday weekends, any weekday trip to disneyland is a good day to go and avoid crowds. obviously weekends are packed. summer weekdays are packed too...
My first thought is late sept, early October. Weather is still warm most days when the sun is out. Rare to get any rain. Most of the rides should still be running - you might run into some Halloween festivities. But all of the summer crowd is gone.
Early November. Weather is still nice (no rain yet), Holiday decorations are starting to be put out, but all the rides should be running.
The other problem I know with feb is that Disney shuts "its a small world" down for most of feb/march to refurbish it. There are other rides that also get shut down for refurbishing in march/April.
End of Jan is nice, but you get a chance of rain. Rainy days aren't so bad at Disney as long as you're prepared for it (rain coats, umbrellas, change of clothes). And the crowds are always smaller on rainy days.
The last/only other time I would consider would be early/mid may. Weather's nice and other then possibly missing out on a Friday night (HS grad nights) the crowds are usually reasonable mid week.
I have been told a number of times that if you go to Disneyland on Super Bowl Sunday, there will practically be no lines.
February is an iffy month in California. Could be nice, could be rainy (and So Cal had its sharing of flooding this winter).
I would recommend going in September on a weekday, mid-month on. Everyone else will be back in school, so crowds will be light. You can count on the weather to still be great in September, too.
We went in March once (years ago). It was perfect. Not hot and not crowded, even though a big ride had just opened. But not during spring break.
Don't go the week between Christmas and NewYear's. We did that this last winter and it was a mess. Absolutely crowded, they were actually turning people away.
We went a couple weeks ago & it was madness. I have a good friend that goes frequently & she recommends going in September or February.
Been there several times during the first week of May. It was great- super weather and not crowded. Watch out for Mother's Day weekend, though, as sometimes it can fall early in the month (like this year).

I was just there in October and had a great time. It did rain on us one day but we bundled up and had fun. It kept a lot of people away and we had practically no lines. That part was great. That being said, rain is not that common in October. Anaheim doesn't get a lot of rain, as it is.
I would try for early spring or late fall. October has one of the lowest attendance numbers, lots of people wait until the holidays. Weather in the summer will be hot and it will be more crowded b/c of vacations.
There are sites and books that can help you plan and provide good info re: weather and attendance numbers.
Most of all, have fun! :)
beginning of May always seems to be a good time....not too many crowds, most schools are in session so there aren't a ton of people there.....
