Where is the best place to buy tickets to Disney World? It can be for 1 park or more than one? I think we already have a hotel so it dont have to be a hotel inclusive package. We are wanting to go this summer! Also where else could we take a 6 and 2 year old boys in Orlando? We are on a buget!
Thank you!

I'm in the midst of figuring this out myself. I bought the book "The unofficial guide to Disney World" (see amazon) and it has been really helpful. They recommend Undercover Tourist for buying tickets (and I see that it's cheaper than AAA discount). Check out Mousesaver on line, too.

The only place to get them is through Disney or if you have an AAA membership you can try through there. I live in the area and there are places that claim to sell discount tickets, but it is not legal. Disney DOES NOT let anyone transfer tickets and they are always busting these places. You shouldn't have to pay for the two year old, kids two and younger go in for free.

As for the area, there is lots to do around here it is one of the most popular tourist areas in the world. Do a Google search for free things to do in Orlando/Kissimmee and go from there.

I am not sure where to buy Disney tickets for a discount but I know there is the new Legoland Park near Orland . It is great for kids under 12 . Have a great trip =0)

Talk to a travel agent (maybe even a couple of them). They frequently hear about package deals. We got a great package a few years ago.

Also, a little piece of advice. Bring your own lightweight stroller, preferably one with a overhead shade. Disney charges a ton of money to rent one at the the park. We also hung a little foldable cooler on the back of the stroller where we kept water and healthy snacks. It was a lifesaver!

When we went I bought my park hopper passes at the Disney Store in the mall. They don't expire and if you only use some of the days (like 5 out of 7), you can use the rest on subsequent visits.

Not sure how many days you plan to visit the parks but when we went last year we bought our tickets in Orlando at a Walmart on Turkeylake road (your hotel should be able to give you directions). They were slightly cheaper and so easy. We only bought single day tickets for Magic Kingdom but I think they sell all sorts of Disney and other park tickets. I know you said you had a hotel, but I think the best deal in Orlando is the Floriday's resort. Each room has two or three bedrooms, kitchen, washer/dryer all the amenities you could need for $150 or less per night. They are running some specials currently http://www.floridaysresortorlando.com. Have a Great Trip!

For the past 4 years, I've bought our tickets through the Undercover Tourist website, but through a link from the Mousesavers newsletter that I get in my email once a month. Clicking through to the UT website from the Mousesavers Newsletter saves you more money than if you went directly to the UT website (I've tried it). Keep in mind when comparing ticket prices that the Disney web site price doesn't include tax (until you check out) and the Undercover Tourist price already includes tax (and they have free shipping too). We saved about $49 for 7-day Disney tickets for 2 adults and one child.
