M.O.
We have been visiting Disney since it opened. Two of our children worked for Disney, one as a Mouse! It certainly has grown and gotten much more expensive but then so has everything else! They have really been pushing deals on the multi-day passes, but as you, we prefer to focus on one park and you certainly do not want to miss Universal. Do you know that if you buy a multi-day, you can use them on your future visits also? My daughter finds this the best value. Also, if you go to Disney websites, you can find hotel deals that include passes. The Value hotels in Disney, the All Stars offer these. If you have not stayed there, the rooms are decent. They have at least two pools and they have a food court area which is great for families and bus service to all Disney properties. We preferred to pay the regular price rather than use our vacation time to listen to a sales pitch. That being said, go to hotel websites and you will find some that are time shares where you stay at the time share location and they offer info there and some include tickets either free or reduced. Most of these are in Kissimmee. It's cheaper than Disney properties and they usually have bus service to and from parks. If you are going in the summer, try to avoid August. That is winter break time for Brazil and they come in large groups or tours, making lines everywhere very long. As an afterthought, we were at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg IL and spoke with a Disney timeshare rep. I think they had some deals also.
