we started using huggies overnights when my daughter started sleeping through the night. she's over 2 now and we still use them and have had NO problems!
I have been using Huggies diapers on my son for a while. All of a sudden, when he wakes up in the morning he is completly soaked. They have been great up until now. Any suggestions on other diapers to use. I just don't want to buy more without some one else's advice. Thanks!
Thanks to all for your advice. I did switch to the Huggies Overnight in the size bigger and so far it seems to be working. Thanks again!!

I went thru so many brands of diapers because my son would pee thru them. We took a trip to Florida and instead of having a walmart near by we went to Target. I bought the Target brand and I used them from 12mths until my son was potty trained at 3. I just had my second child and have used nothing but that brand give it a try and they are cheap!!
Hi C.,
I had that problem too. I switched to Huggies Overnights and the problem was solved. I thought the Overnights were a ploy for us to buy more diapers, but they really did work.
C.
This happened to my son too.
Huggies overnights in one size bigger than he normally wears. And if that isn't enough, use a diaper doubler too. They stopped making the brand Babies R Us carried, Babies R Us said they were going to be getting a new brand but weren't sure when they'd get it. So I ordered Tranquility TopLiner Mini Booster Pads from Walgreens online, they seem to work just the same (except you have to order a lot at a time from them, you can order smaller amounts from other online places).
Cut down the amount of drink you give him at bedtime and change him during the ight when you wake up to potty. Don't turn on lights to disturb him and don't talk to him. He'll get use to the change in a couple of nights and be warmer in the a.m. than waking up soaked.
Pampers Cruisers!!! Both my son AND daughter went thru that, as well! The cruisers were the only thing that kept them from leaking thru the night! Good luck!
Hi,
The same thing has happened with both of my boys around that age. We use Huggies overnight along with another diaper on top (one size up). It seems a bit excessive but it keeps him dry and he sleeps later as a result (so it is worth it to us:-) Good Luck!
Huggies makes overnight diapers that I buy in a size bigger than what my son wears and I also use a diaper doubler. The diaper doublers are hard to find right now because the company is changing their product. So, if you can find them, buy a bunch because they are a life savor.
Huggies Overnights work great for my daughters!
Huggies Overnites work great for my girls.
Try Huggies Overnights they solved our problem.
Hi C.,
The same thing happened to me... my son was wearing Huggies and would wake up soaked. It always leaked. I tried different sizes but nothing helped. So I decided to try Pampers Baby Dry and guess what, my baby has been dry ever since! It is wonderful, there's a special gel inside the diaper that sucks all the liquid, and it does not leak at all, unless of course you use the wrong size. Try it out, it's worth it. I also tried Pampers Cruisers but the Baby Dry one is far better. Let us know!
Same thing happened to my daughter who is almost one. All she needed was a larger size diaper at night. Huggies makes a night time diaper to hold more pee. They work REALLY well!
We tried Huggies with our son and they leaked so bad. Switched to Pampers and never had the problems with leaking like we did with Huggies. When we had our daughter we just continued to use Pampers with her, and we don't have the leaking problems like we had with Huggies.
My son used Huggies Supreme Diapers. They are the ones in the red huggies bag with the winnie the pooh theme. The regular huggies with Mickey Mouse theme aren't as good. I'm not sure which Huggies you're using. Believe me it does make a difference. I wouldn't recommend Pampersm I didn't like them for my son and although they do absorb well, they irritated my son after being a little wet.
I hope I've helped!
Try Huggies overnight. They are the only diapers my son can wear at night and not wake up completly soak. The olny place I have found them at where we live is at Target. We have had luck during the day with Target brand diapers and Luvs. The Target brand holds the most liquid, someone at my husbands work was doing some type of experience with the stuff inside the diapers and said out of all the diapers he bought Target held the most. I gave them a try and they are okay.
Good luck.
We had the same problem, too! So we got the Huggies Overnites diapers for night time. It helped a lot! Sometimes it got the belly of his onesie wet but can pretty much hold a lot. I believe the size starts at 4 I'm not sure a size 3.
Hope this helps!

Huggies makes an Overnite diaper that is extra absorbant. I started to use them with my son when he would leak through his regular diaper (Luvs). And I agree with the other moms, he may just need a larger size.
go up to the next bigger size for nightime. i had to do the same around that time. it should be fine with the bigger size. good luck!
I use cloth diapers (bum genius one-size) for my 14 month old daughter and have never had any leakage problems. I love them and it's really not as hard to use cloth as some people think. They are just as easy to put on and take off as disposables. I did use disposable at first, but wouldn't go back to them if you paid me because of all the benefits (cost, environment, baby's skin, no poop shooting out of them!, etc.).
My son is 7 months old and we had the same problem. The diapers were great during the day, but at night we had major leakage in front froma ll the pee!
We use Huggies Overnights (still diapers, not training pants) and they are wonderful!!!!
We still use Pampers Cruisers for daytime.1

I also had the problem with the Huggies leakage with my children. My first was a boy and he would always wake up with wet bedding - I switched diapers fast! I used to use (kids are all potty trained - 11, 7 and 3) the toys R Us Brand diapers - Especially yours - not only were they absorbent, but cheaper than the name brand.
Hope this helps!
Blessings, L.
I found with Huggies that they don't absorb good (morning or night) and they always leaked, especially when my daughter started crawling.
I love Pampers, and Luvs. The diapers stay in place better and seem to soak up faster and keep the area dryer.
And if you ever need to budget, Costco's brand of diapers do a great job as well, w/ out the cute cartoon character's.
Hope this helps
This happened with both our girls. Mostly with our oldest, who was/is a chunky little monkey! She would be fine and then all of a sudden would start soaking through them all. We would just go up to the next size (usually a couple lbs. before they "say" to). Solved the problem.
I also loved the huggies overnights. Goodnights used to be great, but they seem to have changed them and they fall apart when they get too full.
I used diaper doublers they are at babiesrus they are like $3. a bag u just put one in the diaper it holds in more
I have 3 kids. Whenever my children would start leaking, I knew I needed to go up to the next diaper size. Our favorite diapers were Luvs. They are made by Pampers but are a lot cheaper.
C., Not sure if they still make them but when my kids were little for nighttime we used a pad called a diaper doubler. It fits in diaper and keeps them dry overnight. never had a problem with them leaking. good luck

ps: my daughter uses the jewel brand of diapers for a long time and they worked great
Might just need the next size....my little man, 16mo, is also waking wet in pampers cruisers, he is in size 4...I may try a 5 and see if that stops it. This morning some of the jelly from inside actually came out...crazy
Definitely consider going up to the next diaper size, and diaper inserts may also help. g-diapers ( http://www.gdiapers.com/ ) makes inserts that are flushable & compostable, and these may be an option for you as well; there are other brands out there, and I know a lot of Babies R Us locations carry the various inserts. It could also just be that his bladder is starting to grow and is able to hold a bit more, so when he goes, he ends up just drenching the diaper all at once instead of a little at a time.
C.,
My preference is Pampers Sensative diapers or the Pampers Swaddlers. My daughter is 9 mos old and is a breast feed baby. I tired Huggies, Luvs and generic brands and for us nothing absorbs better than Pampers brand. I will add that our daughter sleeps up to 11 hours straight and when I change her in the morning the diaper (Pampers) is soaked. But so far she has not had any diaper rash from the soaked diapers.

Try moving him up a size for nighttime, or the Huggies overnights.
Have you tried the Huggies Overnights? I use them on my 8 month old son and they work GREAT. I was having the same issue with using a 'regular' diaper at night. I switched to these and have not had any issues to date. Good Luck!
Hi I have a daughter and she turn 1 and I been using huggies too...and everytime in the morning she will be soaked too.. so I put the diaper backwards every night and that worked for me....Hopefully it works for you...
COSTCO diapers are awesome...we have gone boarderline too long and no leaking! they are by far the most incredible diapers ever. if you dont have a costco membership find someone who does and have them buy them for you
they are priced reasonably too
I tried the Huggies and personally just did not care for them- leaking, gel beads, the fit etc...
I found that Pampers Cruisers worked best for our daughter. She wakes up only on VERY rare occasions with a bit of wetness around the top of her diaper on her jammies. Most of the time in the morning there is so much pee in her diaper she could almost float away in it but her clothes are still dry... passes my test :)
One other thing too... is it possible that you need to move up a size in diapers? Anytime we noticed her being soaked it was usually time to move up. Thankfully Pampers also goes up to size 7!
Good luck and blessings to you!
usually when this happens it means you need to go up a size.
We JUST had the same thing with our 8 month old boy. I switched him to the huggies nighttime diapers (although he wears a size 3 and these are size 4). So far so good. No leakage when he wakes up. Good luck.
I also have this problem and we use 2 diapers at night. I bought the Huggies overnight thinking that would be the answer and I still need that plus a regular diaper at night. I usually don't let her drink anything after dinner to cut down on late fluid intake.
My son had the same problem starting at that age and now we use the Huggies Overnights at bedtime. They work great
I found that Pampers worked best for my first, and Huggies for my second. I don't know why, but I had similar problems with the leaking until we switched brands.
Good luck!
We also had to use Huggies overnight diapers. They magically soak it all up and no more accidents at night. They are in a purple package! Good Luck!
I agree w/ a previous poster... as a mother of twins i wanted quality and affordable. Costco Kirkland brand was the way for us. We've tried others brands while we were away on vacation and found that we really like Costco Kirkland brand diapers.
I have twin boys and I realized when they started soaking through consistantly it usually meant he outgrew that size and I had to go up to the next size.
I had the same problem. My almost 2 son is 24lbs. He has been in size 3 diapers since he was 6 months. We got tons of diapers from the baby shower. We are currently using up a box of huggies. The leg openings do not fit snuggly around his legs(not chubby)therefore leeking pee everywhere when he is laying down or in his carseat. I prefer luvs. They have super elastic around the legs and do not leak up the back either. To use up the diapers i'm putting a pair of plastic pants over them to prevent leaks. Also i am not using them at night-time.
I have found the pampers baby dry hold an amazing amount of urine!
My oldest could never wear Huggies because of the same issues... we use Pampers with him. However, whenever he started waking up wet, I knew it was time to go to the next size of diapers. My youngest has had some nighttime success with Huggies night time diapers, as he is a piddle monster, too! During the day, though, he uses Pampers.
my twin boys started out in Huggies and I had the same problem. I switched to Target brand and they work awesome and are far more affordable than Huggies or Pampers.
We like the Huggies Overnights for our 1 year old for night time and the Papmers Cruisers for day. I have used this combination with both of my children and it works for us.
Pampers Cruisers....never ever had a problem with both my boys!
He might need to move up to the next size of diaper...or when my kids were little they had these pads called diaper doublers...and you put one inside the diaper at nap or night time and it held more liquid and kept the baby dry all night.
THE BEST nighttime diapers ar Huggies overnight. They are Huggies, but differ, because they are specificly for nighttime! They work great!!!!
I have always had good luck with Pampers. I also had the same problem with Huggies with my first and never used them again. Either use Pampers Baby Dry or Cruisers, they both work really well. If he is really mobile, I would use the Cruisers.
